Our room was very spacious, clean and well appointed. It also had a certain charm to it with rafters separating part of the room. We had a separate sitting area as well. The staff were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. The hotel is in a very good location, just across the street from the pedestrian shopping area and a short walk to the old town and palace.
If you arrive by train, you will need to walk about 20 minutes to reach the hotel. (But you could always take a taxi). The hotel is in a historical building so the layout is a bit odd, but I found it charming.

I loved the hotel. Someone spent a lot of effort to design the antique house according to the theme "City Palais" and did a wonderful job. Everything is tasteful, noble and elegant and shows an amazing love of detail. The hotel has that old fashioned charme of a bygone era but has all those modern amenities that a traveler wants. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean with a huge bathroom and high ceilings. Despite being in the center of Braunschweig the room was really quiet. The breakfast was rich and diverse, something for everybody. Service was great and staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the location in the city center with all its shops and restaurants nearby.
Everything was perfect. There is only one small point I would like to mention: the light switches were a bit confusing in the beginning. Although they were all clearly marked I often switched on the wrong light or pressed the wrong side of the switch. But after a while it got better. It didn`t annoy me really.

Hallways were clean
My shower leaked all week into the bathroom, where I reported it on the first night but had to request double towels every night just to clean up the water. It made the bathroom very unsafe for night time too

Great location, parking on site, fantastic breakfast and comfortable and clean rooms. Really in the city center and all you need is within minutes walking distance.

I did not book breakfast. Room in the ground floor had a window to parking lot with parking autos next to it, not nice! and from entrance was next to hall. The hotel was in city center which was good, but the breakfast was in another building, outside of the house. The lights keys were confusing, so much that they were written on them, what they do (on or off) and which light will be one when one uses them!
