Exceptional
We have been in this property also 2 years ago and, because we happened to be in the area again we decided to stay here again. The choice was just great. We knew the place and it lived up to our expectations on the second time.
Right in the heart of the German Hertz area, you'll enjoy a variety of activities in the German hills being close to many medieval villages at your fingertips.
Our room was spacious and clean.
The breakfast was plenty and of great quality like the previous time. Our host was kind as we knew her
Nothing in particular. Everything worked out very well.
Just make sure to ask whether it's possible to get a room on the ground floor if you have a stroller since they don't have a lift

Wonderful
Very friendly host, gave ushelp with what to do around Braunlage. Nice town with plenty to see and do. Good breakfasts.

Wonderful
We really liked that the rooms are warm and dry, even in winter! There's plenty of space in the room, very nice. And the furniture is comfy, we liked the chairs.
We liked fresh coffee in the mornings. The host lady (we are sorry not to ask her name) was proactively helpful and nice. The breakfast had almost everything we need - except hot dishes. But the atmosphere of a guesthouse and a caring lady was really magnificent, like in the movies about mountain towns!
There was also a splendid bonus - local tourist card which helped with local bus tickets. We felt like in Doctor Who when the bus driver was asking for a ticket. It also gives some discounts on some local stores and probably even a Wurmberg cable car.
I would add a small writing table to be more comfortable to draw there. If there's anything else to improve then it's adding some type of a rug in the bathroom, as the floor in the bathroom is quite cold.
It would be ideal to have something hot (like omelette) on a breakfast.

Wonderful
A great accommodation for living a “mountain” experience in Germany (I said “mountains” as it depends where you come from :-) ).
There are lots of trails and facilities around for those who like hiking or just being close to the nature.
the room was spacious, quite, well cleaned with a nice balcony.
The breakfast was plenty and of good quality, served by our friendly host.
We were there in summer and it was great but I’m sure it must be extremely cozy at winter time.
Just small stuff:
the parking is in the street in front of the property while I was expecting something more “private” considering that I chose this accommodation also for that. This road was quite and I felt relaxed leaving the car there, however it is not a private parking space as I expected.
There is no lift, so if you have a buggy or heavy luggage you’ll have to take that upstairs with you. Not a problem for us but it might be for somebody.
Lastly, but unfortunately it doesn’t depend on the property, the surroundings and the area in general is suffering from a parasite that is killing the local flora (trees in particular) therefore you’ll see lots of areas with dead trees or where trees have been cut down. Not so nice to hike within these spots
