Room was clean and good value for money. It was small, but fine. Bed was comfy, so were the pillows. Breakfast was simple and had everything what was expected and what we needed.

Real friendly welcome and well laid out huge airy room. A real German efficiently run hotel with a high standard of customer care and service. Quality fixtures and fittings. Great WiFi connectivity. The continental breakfast was delicious and the helpful and friendly lady on duty even produced some home made cake. We didn’t eat at the restaurant as Wednesday and Thursday is a rest day but really enjoyed eating at the Zorba Greek restaurant close by, well within walking distance. Don’t be put off with the outside areas which is typically Ruhr Pot and looks a bit industrial in parts, as inside is very pleasing. Very dog friendly and our beagle was allowed to join us for breakfast. In fact the nice lady saw me sitting alone and enquired where was my wife. I mentioned we were taking turns looking after the dog, and in a good humorous manner I was ordered to fetch my wife and dog to join me for breakfast ? Very good value and no extra charges for the beagle.
