Rooms was quiet. We moved out early in the morning 6.00a, so breakfast was absent in hotel. But receptionist in the evening gave me amazing advice about Bakery. We had a breakfast there. it opens at 5.00am

It is a quiet, but funky hotel easily accessible from motorway, great for an overnight stay in a long travel
The state of repair was problematic - we had a door handle falling off the bathroom doors, lock to the main doors was clearly replaced, and not by a professional, it was clear that although the property was clean, the decor was very dated

the whole experience was good. I really liked the little bar downstairs, we had good cocktails. I just had a little issue finding how to turn the shower water on, and the television channels were a little disappointing.
i hoped we could have had a good breakfast in the bar, but they didn't propose breakfast on the day we were there. (bad luck, nothing bad) not a lot of television channels anymore, because it was all analog. having a little Chromecast would do wonders. but not mandatory, it was raining and we were a little bored :P bottrop itself is not a fascinating town to walk around, but the people are nice.

Friendly owners. The room exceeded our expectations for the price we paid (a 6-bed dorm for 150 euros), and a good shower. In the restaurant, we had some nice cocktails, pizzas and a good breakfast the morning after.
The blankets were a bit too thin for the cold weather outside.

Everyone was nice.
This was rather my own fault, not understanding what kind of accommodation the Chillten is: Not a full-fledged hotel but apartments with limited service (reception etc.). Because of work meetings, interaction with the staff was difficult (they were only on premises when we were not). This should be kept in mind when booking.
