Disappointing
The property is in quite a good location, but it is a bit of a walk into Bernkastel - about 10-15 minutes, however a nice walk along the Mosel. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.
The smell of smoke throughout the property is totally unacceptable. Every time you walked back into the accommodation and even when you went out of your room into the hallway, the smell of smoke is dominating. The breakfast room also smelled of smoke. People smoke outside the premises and the windows and doors etc are open and so the smoke just drifts in and stays. In all our travels we have never experienced this type of smoke contamination in an accommodation facility. We also did not find the reception very welcoming or friendly. Would not recommend this accommodation unless you are a smoker, then you probably won’t even notice the terrible smell.
