Proximity to nightlife, affordable drinks and food at hostel. Other guests were friendly.
The staff. Over our four-day stay, there was a heavy rotation of staff, and while a few were helpful (~2-3), the majority were unhelpful and sometimes even unfriendly. They seemed as though they were bothered by our questions and that they didn't want to interact. This created an unsettling feeling of not being welcome. While the beds were clean and the mattresses relatively comfortable, the pillows offered little to no support so if you're an elder millennial, be warned.

Staff is awesome, love the in-house bar, the location is absolutely perfect with Berghain just down the street and endless cafes and restaurants within 10 min walk.
We stayed in the summer which definitely made this more difficult, but the ventilation in our pod was very weak and we felt like we couldn’t breathe/were so so hot unless the door was open. It was cold outside of the pod, so with increased the ventilation capabilities, I’m sure it would be great!

The location!
The bathroom was tiny, and the shower had mold. The mattress was about 8 cm thick, and you could feel the slats underneath. The floor was very dusty, and the lighting was poor; there was no chair, but there was a desk.

The location of the hostel is fine, walking from some attractions.
The hostel is always noisy from the outside. They do not have a restaurant/kitchen. So no food at all. There were no bedside fans or AC and it was extremely hot during the entire stay. They will not let you check-in early and will not let you keep you luggage at the reception. The common area is small and not a good place to meet fellow travelers. The staff is borderline rude and genuinely doesn't care. There is no elevator in the hostel.

The subdued, tasteful room decoration - single paint color and silver dipped lighting - instead of one of those noisy, hippy artistic "expressions". LARGE personal lockers. Remodeled floor bathrooms/showers Beautiful, international social vibe?
Crazy noisy bunkbeds. Loud & inappropriate headbanger rock music in the morning?! Nothing?about THAT. I think €8 laundry is steep (but washing powder is free).

24/7 reception desk, lovely staff, good room temperature, clean, good location for going to concerts at uber arena and right next to berghain, it’s also next to berlin’s wall, there’s also a vegan supermarket super close, breakfast is all you can eat and only for 6€
very thin walls (you could hear other people’s alarms from other rooms) and people coming back into their rooms loudly in the middle of the night, when they say room with shower they mean only shower and no toilet, and also the shower had no door or curtain so it was kind of cold during the shower, no toiletries, for double beds the blankets are still individual sized so you get two separate ones, at night the surrounding area was a bit dark

The location was very good and near the station, bars, supermarkets. The room was clean and comfortable for 3 people. Staff was very kind and open to make changes when needed.
