It was clean, spacious, and in a good location. Ira was so wonderful over the phone. She allowed me to check in early.
An Americano is 11. Not a good start. I ordered a flat white and it was terrible. The bartender said that "In Germany, you have to ask for an extra shot", even when the standard for a flat white is a double. The staff communication left something to be desired... perhaps either genuine care or better acting. I've noticed that the German variety of Hospitality English is quite imperative. There's a lot of "You HAVE to do this... You CANNOT do this...". It's a very emphatic 'I'm in control' kind of attitude. It comes across quite rude and abrasive, and not very accommodating at all. I was only there for a night, and between 9am and 9:30am, housekeeping walked into my room twice. I'd been exhausted from traveling, and my sleep was quite disrupted because of these intrusions. They were also slamming doors all around me: so much so that the the headboard of the bed would shake. I tried calling reception for forty minutes, with no response. When I finally got through, the man who answered gave a very fast and robotic apology, when I said that they were so unreachable. He then made a disingenuous apology for his colleagues, which undoubtedly went nowhere fast.

No air conditioning and no USB in room and staff didnt help in adjusting the temperature nor charging my phone.

The Location was at right across bus station for commuting not too far from city centre.
The Gym is not maintained well, Weights are missing. Water dispesnser is empty and refiling is not done unless informed.
