Overlooking the River Spree, this boutique hotel on Berlin’s famous Friedrichstrasse Shopping Street offers elegant rooms and excellent transport connections. Free WiFi is provided in all areas. Rooms at Hotel Neuer Fritz are classically furnished. Each has a large flat-screen TV and work desk, and a spacious bathroom with hairdryer. The building features Plattenbau architecture, and was one of the last built in the former East Germany. Trains, trams and busses run from Friedrichstrasse Station, 984 feet away. The location is central to a very active area of central city. Public transportation is abundant (2-3 blocks from the subway). Staff was excellent. Nice having an Italian restaurant as part of the hotel.
The hotel needs to provide wash clothes. Scrubbing with body wash sometimes simply isn't enough.

What a stunning room. Huge room. Beautiful bathroom and bath. Great mirrors. Large terrace with view over the river. Sheer luxury! And central in location. We would absolutely recommend as a nice treat while in Berlin.

It's not really a hotel. It's a lobby with a separate floor of rooms that's disconnected from the lobby and only accessible through a random (and smelly) staircase. The room had a dirty and worn plastic 'carpet', didn't have long enough curtains to block out any of the bright street lights. Sadly, when I had trouble finding my room, i found out that all listed hotel phone numbers (including hotel emergency / night lines) weren't answering. So you're on your own. Check in is with a machine outside the hotel.

The room we stayed in was a 4-bed-suite. Not really suitable for 4 adults, as the sleeping couch was not comfortable at all

Great location and walking distance to restaurants, bars and attractions
We booked a room for 3 people and the third bed was not comfortable. It was a sofa bed. Breakfast was too expensive for what was offered. Not much choice. Room was cleaned daily but very rushed. Showers are open space and baths too. Not really ideal so it should be mentioned in the description

Fantastic location. 15 mins walk to the Brandenberg gate. 5 mins to trains uban. Lots of interesting cafes and places of entertainment close by. Breakfast cafe and food was excellent.
Its is a bit dark and needs and elevator.
