The lobby was impressive and ornate
The ‘Idyllic garden view’ was actually a view of the roof of the rest of the hotel. The pillows were so soft that even when asking for a firmer pillow I was given yet another soft one so ended up sleeping on a couple of towels instead. Despite asking for the steam and sauna to be turned on and being told they would be nothing happened and we left the cold pool and a half later.The ‘mini bar’ consisted of two small bottles of water in the fridge.

Beautiful historic property in a quiet but interesting area. Fabulous for exploring the nearby forest. Lovely staff especially the man on the door he was very helpful.
Quite sad to see such a beautiful hotel so quiet and underused. Please revive with eg art/music exhibitions/displays. It would also be great to have more affordable meal options at breakfast and dinner as the dining areas are really lovely but prohibitively costly for a family stay.

landmark location might be nice choice for the volunteers to restore the famous milieux from the archive pictures. like entering the movie room when the film is over
landmark location but dated and rather abandoned in terms of famous milieux and archive pictures references the garden is abandoned and the summer terrace has no grace. the life is gone

The hotel is beautifully decorated and the terrace and gardens are truly gems.
Older buildings sometimes have their problems. When too many people shower at once the water can go off. The WiFi was also dodgy.
