Breatfast was great, so was the overall grandness of the building, it felt good to be in such a historic villa.
The whole experience felt transactional and much too businesslike. There was no sense of personal attention by staff. The gardens were not attended to, looking neglected. It felt the hotel was fantastic in the 90s and early 2000s and has lost its appeal. It could be so much better though if staff would make people feel more at home, welcome, and would be adding little personal touches. I had bought the stay as a birthday present and expected it to be more special.

Very nice location if you like to be in a quiet, residential and green part of Berlin. Exceptional historic house but should be maintained with more love and attention to detail. Lovely garden but unfortunately not looked after and left to decay and despair.
First of all booking.com sells rooms that have nothing to do with reality. This is now time and time again we book rooms where what we see in practice is not what we were sold by the site. Also we got a half renovated suite with a kitchenette that had no working fridge, Nespresso machine with no coffee, water with no bottle openers. We had to ask the staff for everything and remind for things. Not expected from a two Michelin star hotel. Awaiting for a refund of the difference between the suite we rejected and the lower category room we got in place.

Good cleaning personal and nice candies on the reception
1. SPA facilities did not correspond to the information and photographs presented on the hotel’s website One of the reasons we chose this hotel was its SPA facilities. However, the actual SPA was very different from what was presented on the hotel’s website. The photographs on the hotel’s website show a jacuzzi, but there was no jacuzzi at all when we stayed there. In addition: * the swimming pool was extremely cold; * the steam room was not working; * only the sauna was functioning; * the sanitary installations and equipment were visibly very old and in poor condition. Overall, the SPA appeared badly maintained and in need of significant renovation and replacement of outdated equipment. Because the SPA facilities were not as advertised and were not in an acceptable condition, we were forced to go to another SPA instead, which caused additional inconvenience, wasted time and additional expenses. 2. The general condition of the hotel was poor The problems were not limited to the SPA. The hotel in general appeared to be in a state of significant deterioration and in need of renovation and maintenance. Many things looked old, worn and poorly maintained. Even in our room, the water was draining very slowly, which was another indication of the poor condition of the plumbing. Considering that we paid €1,367.94 for five nights for two people, the overall condition of the property did not correspond to what we reasonably expected based on the hotel’s presentation and price. 3. Severe noise disturbance — we could not sleep until approximately 3:00 a.m. This was one of the most serious problems during our stay. The hotel regularly hosted private events, and the resulting noise had a major impact on our stay. On one particular night, there was a wedding at the hotel. The music was extremely loud, including heavy bass, and people were continuously smoking, shouting and making noise directly underneath our window.

The lobby was impressive and ornate
The ‘Idyllic garden view’ was actually a view of the roof of the rest of the hotel. The pillows were so soft that even when asking for a firmer pillow I was given yet another soft one so ended up sleeping on a couple of towels instead. Despite asking for the steam and sauna to be turned on and being told they would be nothing happened and we left the cold pool and a half later.The ‘mini bar’ consisted of two small bottles of water in the fridge.

Beautiful historic property in a quiet but interesting area. Fabulous for exploring the nearby forest. Lovely staff especially the man on the door he was very helpful.
Quite sad to see such a beautiful hotel so quiet and underused. Please revive with eg art/music exhibitions/displays. It would also be great to have more affordable meal options at breakfast and dinner as the dining areas are really lovely but prohibitively costly for a family stay.
