The hotel is located just a stone's throw away from Spittelmarkt metro station, offering a fast connection to the airport and very good connections all over the city. Some sights are also within walking distance. The rooms are small, but fine for a short stay. The bed was comfortable, two pillows were provided, we ended up sleeping really well. Staff is friendly and you can also store your luggage at the reception, as long as you need to. The hotel bar is also nice. Breakfast was overall fine, offering good quality ingredients, also some organic stuff, and good coffee. But I would have loved some more options with regards to eggs as they only offer boiled eggs. Also, the breakfast space layout isn't ideal - breakfast is served in the hotel lobby, which might be funky, but not ideal, as the chairs and tables are too low. We ended up having breakfast being seated at the bar, as it was the most comfortable option for us.

The room was clean and comfortable but the size is a bit of an issue , especially if you have 2 big luggage it is quite hard to move around, I wish the room is bigger allowing more space to work with. Overall the cleanliness and the bed and the bathroom is clean , also there is no phone inside the room and a little hard to connect with the front desk for some questions. The lounge area is superb, very nice ambiance and relaxing, I wish they could serve some dinner or lunch, breakfast was good and the staff were very nice and helpful. I would definitely come back.

Great location, quiet rooms
We really enjoyed our stay at Motel One Berlin-Spittelmarkt. The location is excellent — many major sights are within walking distance. The rooms are very quiet and clean, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is stylish and welcoming. We especially liked the cozy lobby and the nice hotel bar.
The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast — it would be nice to have some hot options in the buffet.
Still, we would definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable and convenient stay in Berlin.

Fantastic location, staff are very helpful. The style of the hotel is fine.
It did not have water in the room even for purchase. It did not have a glass for drinking water in the room. It does not have a gym. Forget about a coffee maker because it doesn’t have one.

Staff wasn’t much welcoming at the time I check in. Not very helpful on information about parking or the hotel. I had to ask about the parking situation.

The room was nice and clean, the typical room of Motel One, if you have ever been to this chain. The room is not too spacious, but it has everything you need, including a desk where you can work from (as I did). The hotel has a cafeteria/bar which is nice and handy, and in general it feels safe. The location is not too central but with a 10 mins walk you are in full Mitte area and where the main tourist attractions are (like Check Point Charlie), the area is also well served with buses and feels safe, also at night. One morning we asked for coffee and they just let us get cappuccinos at the coffee machines for free even tho we hadn't paid for breakfast there at the buffet, that was nice!
Staff at the bar/cafe could be a little bit more proactive and fast in serving you, we were at the bar on a Friday night and it was not too late, we had to wait for someone to take our order, until my friend just went to the bar and ordered there. Bathrooms have shower gel and hand soap but it would be good to have also a vanity kit to use. Staff could not understand English that much (cleaners and cleaning managers) and so, it was hard to communicate and when they knocked to know if we wanted to have the room cleaned - after I responded and said just give me a second - she suddenly opened the door and I was getting dressed, just with a tshirt but no pants and had to tell her that we didn't need cleaning. I think they should train them in waiting for the guest to open the door before opening by themselves. They are a bit pressing with cleaning, when they could just provide the room with the usual card to leave out of the door which says do not disturb or please clean up the room. Not sure why it's not provided. It is not clear from the room how much breakfast is, while I believe it would be good to have a leaflet that explains how much it costs and what it includes. On the tv, there is the channel dedicated to the hotel and we tried to understand it from there, but it doesn't show anything apart from staged images of the hotel - it would be good to understand the facilities of the hotel and the costs. I think for the future it would be good to have a spa or a pool in Motel Ones. Overall, my stay was fine and I am becoming a loyal client of Motel One chains!

The breakfast was good but a little pricey(EU 19), the cleanliness was exceptional and everything was well organized and efficient. The location is very good except the U2 line closed for repairs at Spittelmark
The room was small and basic considering the price. There was one small chair and barely enough room for two. I've stayed in several MotelOnes and have been generally impressed. But this one had the smallest room and most basic accommodation.

The location is good
I didn’t like how small the rooms are. I understand it’s supposed to be minimalistic but a lot of important stuff are missing and the size is quite small you can’t move around and you don’t have space to put your stuff. No closets, no small fridge, they make the room so useless that you don’t spend any time in it and spend your time downstairs in the bar so you’d spend money. There isn’t even a welcome water bottle in the room which most hotels at least offer. I’ve noticed this is something that all motel one group does not just this location.
