I’ve stayed at this hotel 5 -6 times and have always left outstanding reviews. The location is fabulous and the breakfast is great, big reasons I keep coming back. Unfortunately, my most recent 3-night / 4-day stay was let down by the reception team. On arrival, I greeted the receptionist with “How are you today?” and got a blunt “Don’t ask.” Not a warm start. I was told no rooms were available and to come back at 3 pm (I’d just come off a very tiring flight). I sat in reception for a coffee, and about 15 minutes later I checked with another staff member who immediately found me a room. That inconsistency made me feel the first person just didn’t want to help. Throughout the stay I also noticed little willingness to help with city guidance or things to do—quite a change from previous visits, when the team was genuinely helpful and personable. Bottom line: Pros: Location, breakfast, and (historically) reliable stays. Cons this time: Cold, unhelpful reception that set the tone for the stay. Front-of-house can make or break a hotel. I hope this was a one-off and that the high standard of service returns—otherwise I may try somewhere else next time.

The location of this hotel is perfect, right in the centre of everything. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were well equipped and very clean.

Everything was very clean and well organized. There was a coffee machine, and the staff refilled the capsules and drinks every day.
We stayed at the hotel in early October. Although the weather outside was mild, the heating system had already been activated and there was no option to use air conditioning or a fan. As a result, the room became uncomfortably warm and we had difficulty sleeping. We tried to cool the room by opening the windows, which did help somewhat, but the noise from the main street where our room was located was extremely disruptive due to constant traffic throughout the night. We contacted the front desk to request a solution and were informed that there was no way to adjust the room temperature, nor were there any alternative rooms available away from the street. No effective solution was offered. After further insistence, the staff member took my contact details and said someone would get back to us during the day. Unfortunately, no one followed up. On another evening, our sink became clogged because the stopper had gotten stuck. We approached the lobby staff, who informed us she was working alone and that no one was available to assist. She said she might check on it later, but no one came until the following day around noon. In the meantime, we had to empty the sink manually using a cup in order to keep using it. Again, there was no real attempt by the staff to address the issue. Overall, the main problem with this hotel is the clear lack of staff and the lack of concern for guest comfort. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we do not recommend this hotel.
