The upgrade to a room with the river view and access to a club like lounge for a reasonable extra sum. Was worth it.
No restaurant apart from the tapas one.

We enjoyed the level, the room overall was good.
For the price paid the minibar should have been complimentary, only one lift working and having the door open to be faced with 2 angry dogs and being sworn at by the lady with them didn’t particularly add to the overall ambiance, lack of dietary information in the level on the “snacks”

Additionally when we build our reservation on mobile, we concluded otopark payment is included on total bill. and when we came to hotel, the shift staff approved “your total bill includes the otopark payment” but on check out time, the staff said contraversial information. we had to pay otopark, too. still i’m not sure whether ı paid otopark payment for two times.

Good location, Berlin city centre.
Felt cheap and nasty, far below the standard of other Melia hotels I have used. Plastic outdoor mats instead of carpets, holes in the duvet cover, air conditioning broken and set to heating mode only making room too hot to sleep, mattress/bed squeaky and uncomfortable, breakfast disorganised and poorly laid out (only one coffee machine for entire room). Staff not particularly helpful when issues raised.

Excellent location to explore Berlin . Worth paying for ‘the level’ as this proved excellent ; being able to enjoy drinks and nibbles in the evening
There was a strange smell on our floor , which we also noticed in some other areas of the hotel … almost like a sulphur type smell , quite unpleasant
