location wise, near to a lot of bars and restaurants. s bahn directly right outside the station.
i booked a bed for a night in mid june. 4 occupied beds in a tiny room and it was obviously overcrowded. there were no space to put my own things. belongings of others were everywhere and ventilation was so bad in a stuffy room. on top of that the wifi signal in my room on the 2nd floor was very poor, i pretty much had no wifi. when this was brought to the attention of the staff, they couldn’t be bothered. decided to check out next day (as living conditions of everything considered) was just unacceptable, i got screamed at by a sassy male staff - just very rude and clearly i was not the unreasonable one here. unfortunately a really bad experience with meininger hostel (mitte)

Very good and central location
It is so crowded, day and night, so if you r looking for Calm place, this won't be the right choice, it is more a teenagers hostel than a hotel, Also flies, and insects every where, The Cafe at the Entrance, chairs are really sticky, and full of small insects, Check.in and check out were easy, but staff was most of times unfriendly, and angry all the time,.

The location is excellent if you are traveling by train to Berlin. However, I encountered some inconvenience with the bus station, as it turned out to be further away than I had expected. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. Overall, the room was clean, with fresh bedding and towels. The bathroom and toilet are cleaned regularly. The girls at the bar are also very welcoming.
I was horrified by one of the neighbors in my room. We only crossed paths for one night, but I was shocked that on the last night he showed up drunk, chasing after marijuana in the hallway (it was even noticeable the next morning, as my bed was completely reeking of it from the corridor). Then he started drinking beer and opened the window in the room to smoke. He constantly made noise with the metal stools that were in the room. What kind of equality can you talk about when two girls in the room were afraid to make a sound until the guy passed out? And when he finally did, he snored so loudly that even my earplugs didn't help. It was awful. In moments when I wanted to contact the reception, I remembered that a girl had taken over the shift that night. It was unclear how she could help against him. It also made no sense how they allow people in such a condition and state of intoxication into shared rooms. The second night was better, but without that man in the room. My roommate and I were 100% sure that we were booking rooms exclusively for women. However, I couldn't find any mention of this in the hotel conditions, stating that all rooms were mixed.

The location is in a very nice naborhoud very close to the main center area. The staff was nice and the rooms were tiny but clean and comfy.
A small fridge and a hotel safe for storing your passports and money would be nice to have in the room. Other than that, all was good.

There was construction and closed elevators so we had to carry 5 bags up and down 5 floors if we were in a hurry. Exhausting. The only other option was a 2 person elevator that took forever w a family with kids and luggage. The 2 person elevator only went to the 4th floor. So we had to do a flight of stairs anyways

Comfortable bed, clean and quiet (had a room facing to the courtyard), everything as it should be. Excellent location near to the museum island. Easy access to tram, metro, places to eat and supermarket.
