It was very close to the sights I wanted to visit - museums and Staatsoper, and also close to very cosy and nice cafes and restaurants. The metro was right in front of the hotel and the trip to the airport was simple.

During my stay at this hotel, there were some positive aspects. Unfortunately, however, I experienced an incident at the end of my stay that overshadowed all those positive impressions. For this reason, I will focus this review entirely on the negative experience I had. The hotel's stated check-out time was 11:00 AM. I arrived at reception at 11:30 AM, just 30 minutes late, and was immediately asked to pay an additional €15. I asked the staff to explain the specific policy justifying this charge. I showed them my Booking.com reservation confirmation and asked where this penalty was mentioned. However, the reception staff were unable to provide a clear or substantiated explanation. They then called the supervisor, who was also unable to provide a specific basis for the charge. They searched for the relevant rules and checked various sources, but no one could produce any concrete document justifying a €15 charge for a 30-minute delay. Yes, I am fully aware that the check-out time was 11:00 AM, and I am not disputing that. My question was different: What specific policy authorizes a €15 charge for a 30-minute delay? Who determined this amount? From what point does a late check-out incur a fee, and how is that fee calculated? The situation gave me the impression that even the supervisor was unfamiliar with the hotel's own policies. Only after I insisted did the supervisor access the hotel's website and start reading the rules. The supervisor then mentioned that the hotel could potentially charge the full night's rate. This raised serious questions for me: If such a policy exists, why was it not shown to me beforehand? Why was I specifically charged €15? Why was no explanation provided as to how this amount was calculated? The most unacceptable part of the entire incident was that the reception staff threatened to involve the police.

Great stay! Very central, friendly and welcoming staff (even as a last minute booking!), very comfortable bed, good shower, good room temperature. I didn't use any additional services here. Would very happily stay here again!
Very minor - basic tea/coffee services in the room would be nice. I was only here 1 night, and there are plenty of great coffee shops nearby open late/early so not a big deal! But worth noting.
