Nice staff
We had a fire alarm at 3am. No one in the hotel was giving instructions. The lack of preparation and support to the customer was a deep concern. A employee of the hotel should have been advising and helping people outside. The rooms are comfortable but everything is old.

Honestly really disappointed with this stay. Even though our reservation was already fully paid through Booking.com, they still charged an extra €180 from my card. On top of that, another €130 was charged by mistake the next day. They told me it would be cancelled, but it’s still showing as pending.
So right now, about €310 has been taken/held from my card for no valid reason, and I’m still waiting for my money back. This is definitely not what you expect, especially from a hotel at this level. I hope they fix this as soon as possible.

On a positive note, the hotel’s location is excellent and there is a great atmosphere throughout the property. I particularly enjoyed the bar, which was the highlight of my stay; the live music created a wonderful vibe, and the staff there were exceptionally professional, friendly, and attentive, making for a truly pleasant experience.
While the hotel maintains its reputation for certain standards, my recent stay was marred by significant service failures and concerning financial discrepancies.
1. Room Hygiene Issue
Although the shower appeared very clean, there was a persistent, unpleasant odor that released as soon as the water started running. For a hotel of this caliber, this was an unexpected and unwelcome experience.
2. Security Deposit and Refund Delays
At check-in, a €50 security deposit was required. Despite checking out, the refund was not processed automatically. I had to send numerous messages to both the hotel and Booking.com to finally retrieve my funds. This level of follow-up should not be necessary for a standard deposit.
3. Unauthorized Charges
The most concerning part of my stay involved unauthorized billing attempts. Despite having prepaid for the room and settling all restaurant/bar bills on the spot, an attempt was made to charge approximately €170 from my card.
When confronted, the reception dismissed it as a "mistake."
Management later claimed there was no record of this attempt in their system, even after I provided documentary evidence to the contrary.
Upon checking other reviews on Booking.com, it appears this is a recurring pattern rather than an isolated error.
I am deeply disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding billing and the poor communication from management. I strongly advise future guests to monitor their bank statements closely when staying here.

We had a lovely stay in Berlin. The hotel was very comfortable and breakfast buffet was extensive. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was large with a very comfortable bed and had all the facilities we required. As the hotel is not close to any shops etc we appreciated having the facility to buy from the great selection of drinks and snacks in the lobby area. We did not want to have the full breakfast every morning so we bought coffee and pastries from the coffee shop which can be accessed from the hotel and staff there were lovely. The bar in the hotel had music every night and had a nice atmosphere which was great after a busy day sightseeing.
Although this did not bother us as we like to walk there are no facilities in the immediate vicinity so you need to be able to wallk 10-15 minutes for shops/ restaurants outside the hotel. However it was very easy to get a taxi/Uber if required.
