A very cozy and comfortable hotel. The room was clean, quiet, and well maintained, making our stay truly pleasant. We felt comfortable throughout and would be happy to stay here again.

The breakfast was far better than we expected and was probably the highlight of our stay. The selection was quite varied and everything we tried was delicious.
There were three main reasons why our stay ended up being a below-average experience.
1)We booked 3 rooms through Booking, and when we arrived we were told that 2 of our rooms had been upgraded. We were excited at first, but when we entered these “upgraded” rooms, we saw that they were actually smaller, darker and had lower ceilings. We went back to reception and asked how these rooms could be presented as an upgrade, and the answer we received was: “They are upgraded because they are on higher floors” (8th instead of 5th). We said we did not accept this change and wanted the room types we originally booked. They told us there was no availability, even though we had made our reservation 2 months in advance. Eventually, they managed to find the correct rooms, but this process took almost half an hour.
2)When we chose this hotel, we saw on Booking that there were coffee machines in the rooms. However, after check-in we saw there were no coffee machines. When we contacted reception, they first said there were kettles in the rooms. We replied that the listing clearly mentioned coffee machines. They then said they could bring one if we paid a deposit. After a short discussion, they finally brought a machine without asking for a deposit.
3)The rooms were quite cold (it was November) and the A/C was only blowing cold air. We called reception about this, and they sent a technician, who confirmed that the heating system was not working properly. In the end, they brought an extra heater to our room.

Our stay at Hotel Palace Berlin was absolutely superb. The room was beautifully designed, spotless, and very comfortable.
I truly enjoyed every moment there. The location is simply perfect, right in the heart of Berlin yet peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was outstanding, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options, and the service was excellent. Overall, a five-star experience in every possible way. I genuinely loved it.
Nothing major, but I would have appreciated if the staff were a bit friendlier and smiled more often, it certainly makes a big difference to the overall atmosphere.

Very impressive.
There was a bad smell outside the elevator of floor 6.
I think it is a rip off to have to pay extra for the sauna when you are a pyaing guest.
No complimentary water in the room. EUR9.50 for a bottle of water is outrageous.
My friend saw a mouse run through the lobby.

We were upgraded to a Junior Suite at no extra cost. The room was very spacious with desk and seating area. The beds were large and comfortable. Although overlooking the main road, the room was well soundproofed.
The shower cubicle was rather small given the size of the bathroom. The subdued lighting in the room might not be to everyone’s taste after dark. Apart from that things were fine.

The room was specious. We had a bathtub and a shower cabin, which was great. The hotel is very close to the zoo and to main shop streets. The lady at the reception with the beautiful smile is a big asset to the hotel. Thank you, dear Miss for making my stay there fantastic.

Breakfast, location and facilities were good, as expected for this price.
Unfortunately there are two bad things about this hotel.
Number one: The city tax was not included in the price for The Palace
Berlin Hotel. But it is included in all other hotel prices on site. I
was suddenly charged a large amount of money when I checked out. There
is nothing mentioned about this city tax not being included in the
price when you book it. All that is said when booked is "Additional
charges may apply" in tiny letters and there is no way to click on that or
find out what that means. (Please note that there is "City Tax" in all
hotels in Berlin, only with this hotel it is not included in the price,
and they make sure you don't see that when you book, unless you
examine everything very closely).
The other unfortunate thing is that the beds are extremely soft. You
might experience back pain. If you have a sensitive back these soft
beds might not be good for you.

The location is excellent, bus stop and subway are very close, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and several attractions. The lobby was bright and welcoming, and check-in was fast and efficient.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with modern amenities. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the pillow menu. Housekeeping did a great job each day, and the complimentary bottled water was refilled everyday.
Breakfast was varied and tasty, with plenty of options. The staff was attentive and always greeted us with a smile.
Not to forget the food at the lobby bar/restaurant as well as their Gin bar where we had a great time as well.
