This boutique hotel is a beautiful historic building located in a quiet street right in the heart of Berlin’s Mitte district, close to many galleries, restaurants and tourist attractions. Dating back to the 19th century when it was used as a Christian refuge and hotel, the martas Hotel provides historic charm. Look forward to the bright and comfortable rooms with warm and friendly colors as well as traditional wooden floorboards. The martas Hotel Berlin Mitte is within comfortable walking distance of the Hackescher Markt cultural district, the UNESCO museum island, Alexanderplatz, the historic Unter den Linden boulevard, the Brandenburg Gate and the Friedrichstraße shopping street. The hotel offers excellent public transport connections to all parts of Berlin, thanks to the nearby S-Bahn (city rail) and U-Bahn (underground) stations. Please note that the reception is only open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. If you expect to arrive outside of these opening hours, please inform the property in advance to arrange check-in. Suggestion is to have a fridge in the room, it was a very hot time in Berlin and we could not have cold water during our stay, unless we pay for one in the reception

A very pleasant 3-star hotel located in a nice area of central Berlin, with good nearby tram and metro links. The staff were welcoming with a smooth check-in including being given some local tips for pubs, restaurants etc. Breakfast is not available but there are decent cafes nearby, plus the hotel provides free coffee until 8pm. My room was clean and comfortable. I will be happy to stay here again.
Nothing really, some building work was ongoing but that was not too much of a disturbance.

Nice bright and spacious room. Close to grocery store and public transport. Tea and coffee for free. Fresh furniture.

Stayed here a week and it was great. Location excellent. Good value for money.
How can pillows be flat and lumpy? May as well not have them, and provide even better value for money.

The room was large and the bed was very big and comfortable. There was also plenty of storage in the room. It all felt a lot more luxurious than I expected and I was really happy with everything.
I wish there were nicer complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. I didn't really like the 3-in-1 shower gel that was provided and I felt that it didn't match the comfort and luxury of the room.

Excellent location near tram and bus stops. Good sized room, quiet and airy. No air-con, but a good fan kept the worst of the heat at bay. The downstairs eating area with coffee and supplies was useful, as we had our own breakfast supplies with us.
No air-con - thankful for a fan, but if EU summers continue like this you should consider installing it.
