Beautiful building and decorated in a very stylish way. Close by to all major sights.

Location is good, near the metro and tram stations. Breakfast was quite good.
The bass beat of disco during the evenings and nights which penetrated into rooms. And you have to push through the party crowds in the lobby in the evening. If you like to sleep in peace, avoid.

The location is great and overall vibe of the hotel is very cool. Super cheap bar too!
Our shower was clogged (and we couldn't fix it) so the shower overflowed into the bedroom... Bed was also very creaky

Disappointing
Most of the staff were friendly, and the location is great: close to trams, shops, restaurants and Hackescher Markt.
(1) I arrived tired on a Sunday evening, and the receptionist refused to check me in, insisting I enter all my details, including my passport number and date of birth, on a self-service machine. That's disappointing at over 200 euros a night. When I pressed the wrong button, he frowned and said, 'Why did you do that? You have to do it all over again'. He then handed me my room card within a minute, needing only my name. (2) The room is spacious, but there's nowhere to put cabin luggage except the floor or the desk. The desk has only the ceiling light, which isn't enough for working on a laptop in the evening. There are no tissues and no complimentary water. (3) The shower sits inside the (double) room, with transparent doors and a huge mirror opposite. Fine for party-goers, odd otherwise. (4) You'll hear heavy bass from the rooftop bar into the early hours (Monday night in my case), and I wish I had known this. Wrong price for what it is, and a disappointing experience throughout.
