Very clean and great value. Helpful staff who were happy to hold a suitcase for the day after I checked out.
The street that the hotel is on isn't the most picture-esque but minor issue because lovely streets nearby. Bathroom on the smaller side but very serviceable.

Besides professional, the people who run this hotel are warm, friendly, and helpful. This is not a chain hotel, so it may feel a bit quirky if you prefer chains. It makes up for that with charm, cleanliness, and a really wonderful staff. I arrived on a pouring evening, I was pretty grumpy. The person at the reception desk greeted me warmly, we made some conversation, then he proceeded to show me my room, which was large, clean and comfortable. I did not book breakfast with them, so I cannot comment about that. I chose this hotel based on other user reviews here, and because it was exactly in the area of Berlin that mattered to me. This part of the city has many bars, cafés, and restaurants; it's well connected by public transportation, and it's a good base to move around the East side of Berlin.
The shower may be a bit small if you're tall or are a big person. It may be hard to access if you have accessibility needs. I did not inquire further about accessibility at the hotel. If you have accessibility needs, contact them: they're super nice.

The room had most things I needed for a quiet and restful night. Everyone in reception was lovely and very helpful. For the pricing it is a great option that is well connected to various subway lines and buses.
The only thing I would suggest is changing the pillows offered. There was one pillow on the bed and it barely had any form. Please consider changing this and it would be a perfect night's sleep!

Clean and simple hotel, perfect for a few days of sightseeing. No luxury or fancy desing, everything is basic, but tidy and functional. Friendly staff and good big breakfast for additional charge, it's worth it. It's in a normal neighbourhood, well connected. The noise from the street is not too bad, but earplugs are a good idea.

First room I slept in really smelled of cigarettes, I had trouble sleeping because of that. I asked to change and got a new room - but even that one had a vague smell of cigarettes. I really can’t handle the smell so wasn’t a nice stay.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is good. Many restaurant in the area, Karstadt just around the corner as well as U-Bahn station. Car parking is available behind the hotel, I managed to drive a wide van through.

Wonderful
I was in Berlin for the concert so I booked this hotel because it was really close to the venue and I couldn't be more satisfied. It's a really nice place, the room was comfortable and the staff is incredible, so friendly and nice! I'd come back here.

Disappointing
The employees were all very kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and varied and the room service nice.
The room looked much nicer in the pictures. In reality, it was run down and not sufficiently cleaned. The bed cover under the sheet was full of hair. The duvet cover, while it was washed, had stains on it and the bathroom was also not cleaned properly: the toilet seat had stains on it, and there were mold-like marks on the interstices. People were loud in the hallway from time to time, and the cleaning lady once entered our room while it was locked and the key in the lock. It really was a disappointment for this price. I am sorry to have to give this rating since the staff was really very kind.

Spacious clean rooms, exceptionally friendly host who makes you feel very welcomed. The location is excellent for travelling around. Value for money is very good.
There wasn't anything I didn't like. The bathroom is not modernised but it was clean with a good shower and a supply of everything needed.
