There was a great line to breakfast in the morning.

Good location
The sommelier of the Michelin one star restaurant is a mythomane, inventing complicated stories to make you believe a common wine is exceptional…One example of a 40 euros bottle I buy regularly that he claimed to have paid 700 euros! With only 2000 bottles onto the market when you can easily find it. When confounded, the rest of our meal was a nightmare.
Waiting times for everything even simple things.
Access to enter the hotel denied on several occasions because of organised events but without any notice or warning.

Queuing for breakfast . Seems rather short staffed. Quite a long wait to be served in restaurant, bar and breakfast .

Breakfast was tasty - the pricing was confusing - also thought it was vastly overpriced; but location was excellent; fly enough the coffee was not particularly good- a bit bland!
I had stayed at the Adlon some 12 years ago & it was superb ; one of the ‘red ladies’ looked after myself & my late wife; the attention to detail was excellent so I was a trifle disappointed not to see them ; my room was excellent ; however my 2 companions who were sharing a room - Iin spite of my request for twin beds it took over 4 hours to finally obtain & that involved a change of rooms : however the staff were excellent .I’ve also stayed in other Kempinski hotels and I’d recommend them - and yes I’d stay there again !!

Location, history and the quality of the service. Definitely the best hotel we’ve ever been to. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the atmosphere excellent, the food exceptional. We loved the scrumptious breakfasts where every wish came true. Definitely the best hotel we’ve ever been in every way
