The host David was very attentive. The bus and tram stops were about 3min walk. Nearby market was about 10min walk
I booked a private room, which was actually 2 squeaky bunk beds (2 person dorm). The one towel provided for shower and sink was very very small. David gave me a second, but I used my own hand towel, which was much bigger. My room (only 6 rooms total) was on ground floor, with an ugly view of over filled trash bins. The curtains were too narrow for the window and hard to close (very high on wall). I was forced to keep curtains closed as people could see me directly thru bars on window. The walls were completely bare, so with the curtains closed, it felt like a prison. Also, the shower area was extremely slippery, and I almost fell. I booked Hotel 199 to have a social hostel experience, but instead I felt that this accommodation was just a low end guest house, with a tiny "kitchen"

The pillows... but at least we actually were provided with some.

The appartement is very well equipped - everything you may need is there. Perfectly tided, everything working (this is not standard by my experience!), hot water, sufficient heating towels, shampoo & soap, dishes. The owner is friendly.
The only objection is to the announcent of "hotel parking" - you must park on the city street, but it is free. My notice: The place is located inside the low emission area.

The hostel is in a great, well-connected location. The owner was very helpful and notified us on arrival about the ongoing BVG strikes. Clean and comfy room with bathroom and small fridge. Impossible to find something better at this price point. Thanks again!

This was the best hostel experience I’ve ever had. The host is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always available by phone if needed. Since there’s no reception, make sure to call him when you’re approaching, and he’ll meet you, give you all the necessary information, and even provide a brief overview of nearby shops. Such a kind and polite person!
The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, a fridge, and a stovetop, making it convenient for cooking. In the bathroom, you’ll find a hairdryer, shampoo, and liquid soap – all provided for your comfort. We stayed in a room on the ground floor, which had external shutters that could be closed for privacy. Our windows overlooked a beautiful cathedral, making the view absolutely stunning.
The location is fantastic, with several shops within walking distance and excellent public transportation connections. And the price? Unbeatable!
We’ll definitely come back again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

The owner was really helpful and kind. It was close to the public transportation. We enjoyed our stay!
The door was kinda thin I could hear if someone used the chair or talk outside, it was a minor problem beside this I can only recomnend!
