The staff are great, the location is great, the pool is great. Most of the things do live up to expectations.
The biggest thing for me is that I booked a double bed. It wasn't until after booking that I was told that this may not be possible, I'll find out when I checked in. The number of double bedrooms in a hotel doesn't change all that often I imagine, so they surely have a good idea of what they have left at the time they accept the booking. I felt a little like I had been baited and switched. On check in they gave me a room with two single beds, the single beds were terrible to sleep on in my opinion. It's for this reason that I wouldn't book again at this hotel.

Located in the centre of Berlin right next door to the station. A double edged sword as the railway noise was obvious but not disturbing.
Sometimes the music in the reception/bar area was too modern creating an annoying atmosphere. It wasn't a disco floor but somewhere to relax after a long hard day.

Great, comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms, great design in the rooms where the windows look down inside the hotel reception and bar. Location is good, there are several restaurants around and it’s a short walk to most sights in Berlin.
I’d give this hotel a 10, but the cleaning staff was pretty bad. They asked us to leave our used towels on the bathroom floor in order for the cleaner to take them and give us clean ones. They didn’t do that. Also, I had left my pjs folded on the bed and the cleaner threw them on the nightstand like it was garbage. Lastly, be prepared to bring your own essentials, like slippers, etc because they don’t provide any of those, even though, most 4-stars hotels do.

Breakfast was amazing. Such a huge selection. Location was perfect - within easy reach of transport and key landmarks Staff were really helpful.
It might have been good to have a slightly warmer pool and the loungers were in need of some repair. It would have been nice to have the option of food in the evening. It wasn't clear when this was available. We asked one evening and we're told the restaurant was closed.
