The hostel is good value for money, I can recommend it.
I like this hostel and this is why I am coming back almost every year when I visit Berlin but this time I got dissapointed. Although I had staid for 6 nights, they refused to keep my luggage after check out for overnight as I was leaving the town the day after early in the morning. The reason they named was rediculous and so I had to carry a very heavy suitcase through snow and ice, the pavements in the whole city were realy slippery and dangerous. I don't blame the guy at reception he tried to be polite, I am sure it was some kind of house rules he had to follow, in the end a typical german unflexible situation. Next time maybe I try something else but to be fair, again, the hostel is good. Still -1 for my ice ride, it was a hard time.

The bed was cosy and the staff were delightful, helpful and pleasant. The common area is quite nice and there wasn't an issue eating or working there. Staff even offered to heat my food in the microwave. Were it a busier time of the year, the common area will be too small.
The hostel generally is very dated. I know its cheap as chips although it need a bit of refresh in my humble opinion. The bathroom is really not great and has a really bad sewerage smell. Also, they list rooms at the front as having a view. Do not go for these rooms. The consistent sounds of ambulances going by was really irritating. And really really loud. There is no community kitchen and

Unfortunately this property has nothing to offer either than a bed for a very competitive price.
Some Beds are located near a bathroom. Wifi connection is poor. No lighting. I wouldn’t recommend a female choose this place unless you exclusively ask for females only I am not even sure if this is an option however this place is very dingy and doesn’t come across as how depicted in the pictures,their pictures are heavily edited. There is very little breathing space from the bunk above to your bunk if you are below.This was a very uncomfortable experience and I didn’t actually stay more than an hour and I ended up seeking accommodation elsewhere.

The shower taps and sink taps were not in good situation. I had a normal temperature set while taking shower and after few minutes the heat suddenly rose which burnt my skin. I was so scared to use the tap or shower afterwards. No good breakfast. The scrambled eggs will be prepared at 7 or so. When we reached at 10 for having the breakfast it was all dry and tasteless.
