The hotel is visually appealing, well located, and the rooms are comfortable. It presents itself as a premium property and has the foundations to deliver a strong guest experience.
Several aspects of my stay fell well below expectations for a hotel at this price point. The sauna was only open from 4pm to 8pm, which is a very limited window for a property offering wellness facilities.
During my stay I became unwell and asked the front desk whether any basic medicine was available. My request was declined without alternatives, and no effort was made to suggest contacting a doctor or offering guidance should my condition worsen. A more proactive duty of care would have been appropriate.
Pricing and communication were the biggest concerns. The first two nights were extremely expensive, and although I received €20 in compensation, this felt disproportionately small given that I spent over €600. After my flight was cancelled due to the airport closure, I had little choice but to extend my stay and urgently needed laundry completed. I was charged over €100 for only a few items. While a surcharge may have been mentioned, the final cost was excessive given the already high per item pricing. When I raised my concerns, I was told a discount would be offered, however no discount was ultimately applied. This felt misleading and left me questioning the transparency of the charges.
I want to be clear that I rebooked additional nights out of necessity due to travel disruption rather than because the experience encouraged me to stay longer. Overall, the service gaps and pricing practices made the stay feel poor value for money.

Great staff, good breakfast, mostly comfortable room in a good location close to where I needed to be in Berlin. Very easy walking distance to Anhalter Bahnhof S-Bahn and Möckernbrücke U-Bahn stations.
I booked a room with a double bed and was given a room with two twin beds. When I asked to change they had nothing available. Annoying, but not the end of the world.

The room was big and spacious and very comfortable. We slept very well. It was nice having a shower and bath in the room. The hotel is not too far from the main attractions. The hotel is also in a much quieter neighborhood away from the chaos of main center Berlin.
The hairdryer in the room was terrible. Only at the end of our stay did we see that you could borrow a high-powered hairdryer from reception. I feel this should be in the room, not have to be requested. There was also black mould in the tile grouting of the shower that needed to be cleaned. Our room was not completely vacuumed the one day when we came back to the room. There were crumbs on the carpet after we had eaten some food the day before. Also we had run out of shower/hand gel on day 2 that was never replaced by the room service. These quality checks need to be a bit more attention to detail.

The beds and rooms were extremely comfortable. There was a wide and fresh selection at the breakfast. The building was very interesting and an example of early Berlin design. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
I requested a more firm pillow and it never arrived to my room.

I liked facilities cleanness and location
1. I didn’t like the superior suite- it’s divided in two smaller rooms which defeats the purpose of having space
2. Some - not all- staff we’re not helpful - robot like
3. Did not like I paid extra for being 15 minutes late post checkout cut off time 1 pm.
