I 100% recommend staying here.
The check-in and out are super simple and straightforward, the staff at the reception was friendly, the room was very clean and decently spacious. It is quiet and safe. But most importantly: the location is superb! There is a metro station literally 5 steps in front of the hotel entrance. And you can use the U5 line from there to go almost anywhere in Berlin with no or 1 transfer. I loved that about this placez absolutely no hassle in that regards. And the area around the hotel is vrey bustling, with a lot of cafés, bakeries, bars and markets. There is a DM store and grocery market right next to the hotel entrance as well.
The only criticisms I would give is that they didn't change our towels during the stay, but we didn't request them to anyway, so maybe that's why, and the pillows on the beds were abysmal. More like towels than actual pillows. Also, I wasn't a fan of the breakfast offered in the hotel. For the same price you could get whatever you wanted from the various bakeries and restaurants around the hotel, but that's personal preference.

The room was clean and large. Bathroom new and clean as well. Great hot water and water pressure.
Neighborhood a bit raw but once I got used to it and realized how excellent the transportation was, and what was only a few blocks away in terms of restaurants and ambiance, it grew on me.
Our room was not cleaned 2 days; only done the one day in between that we had to specifically ask for it. After that just got our own fresh towels.
Lobby a bit sparse and grim, more like a hostel
Breakfast unappealing and expensive. Room institutional and had bad smell. Glad we hadn't signed up for it.

The location is the most! Beside there are DM drug store and Netto store where you can buy water and some snack. And the train station is in front of the hotel which is wonderful. All staffs I met three people at reception were really nice and friendly. Overall its convenient place to stay!
Its not about the property but there are some homeless men nearby anyway they did not harm people so no concern.

Close to the subway station. Stores, cafes and restaurants nearby.
Homeless people outside. No coffee or hot water in room. No paper napkins in room. No drain cover in the sink. The room service came to clean even though we told them not to. The tv remote battery cover was very loose and fell out all the time.

Stayed here often over ten years and it remains a clean, practical base for some of our regular Berlin visits. Brilliant location.
Nothing because this kind of base suits us, if you want a bells and whistles service hotel you might not like this as nobody bothers you.
