Great location and friendly welcoming staff. The room was comfortable and clean with everything you need for a short stay.
Some parts of the hotel felt a little dated and could benefit from refurbishment. Quite noisy if you are in a room to the front of the building overlooking the street. The wellness facilities were unfortunately under refurbishment for the duration of our stay but we were made aware prior to arrival.

As a gay traveler to Berlin you can't beat the hotel's location. A few minutes walk from the U2 train in one direction and surrounded by pubs, clubs and shops.
The staff as always were very friendly and helpful.
The spa and wellness center were closed and it was only by reading the small print on the hotel's website that I found out in advance of my trip. Not an essential but it would have been nice to access to it.
It is due to reopen around August/September time

The staff were super friendly and couldn't have done more for you. Lots of choice at breakfast and you could order as much as you wanted.
The only thing that disappointed me was that the spa was closed for refurbishment but to be fair it is good that they are making improvements.

Great location in Schöneberg with easy access to transport, restaurants and nightlife. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel had a fun atmosphere and was a great base for exploring Berlin.
The spa facilities were unavailable during our stay due to maintenance, which was a little disappointing as it was one of the features we were looking forward to using.

As someone who has traveled to six continents and stayed in dozens of hotels, from the most remote to the most luxurious, Axel Hotel became the hotel where I felt the happiest in my life. It was not just a hotel, but a safe stop in a journey into my own soul.
I had ordered many items from Amazon Germany and was nervous about bothering the hotel with so many packages. But when I arrived with my gay friends, Kevin welcomed us with such warmth, kindness, professionalism, and a smile in his eyes that I immediately felt relieved. He recognized me because of the packages, told me not to rush, and made everything so easy. I will never forget his friendship, helpfulness, and kindness. Kevin, my friend, you are my king. And don’t forget: you have a home in Istanbul now. You are always welcome.
The hotel is right in the heart of the gay scene. The rooms were spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable. Housekeeping was very kind, and the security made me feel safe. Being surrounded by the community, meeting people from different countries, and feeling free without being trapped in apps felt incredibly real and beautiful. After years of hiding in the shadows, I felt radiant there. When I left, I cried. My heart stayed at Axel Hotel.
At check-out, another incredibly sweet member of the team, Nereida, helped us at reception. We left our luggage at the hotel for a while and were able to go for breakfast with complete peace of mind. I want to thank her from here as well. I will never forget Nereida and Kevin for the rest of my life.
