The hotel is on the 3rd (4th) floor of a typical old Berlin residential house and situated right in the centre of the gay area of Schneberg. The hotel has a private touch like a B&B which I liked. Charming room, friendly staff and a decent breakfast in a cozy room.
I was there on the weekend and during the night could hear a bit of the club situated in the same building - but as I chose the hotel also for its location, this didn't really annoy me.

I booked online (duh) and didn't know it had mostly (exclusively?) gay clientele. The bar in the same building downstairs literally has a sign that reads "Males Only." But other than that laugh / surprise, this hotel mostly met my expectations. It may in part be due to the fact that they didn't have the room I'd booked so they upgraded me. Whatever the reason the room was great. Everyone that worked there was great too. Solicitous and helpful, they made staying there a pleasure. This hotel is in what must have been a luxurious apartment in half of one floor of an older building. The place as been converted into rooms and works well, but it does lack a regular lobby and the breakfast room is perhaps the only place to lounge outside of one's room. There's an old fashioned elevator which works fine.
Floors squeak a fair bit. Not much place in the hotel to lounge.

It was right near the place I had to work. Believe it says the hotel is friendly for straight people...:-), I concluded it's not for the gay... just a joke, but honestly I couldn't care less. Really friendly people at a great location.
Don't know but the entrance is on the middle of a men's bar. That was kind of weird as on the Monday evening it was completely full with leather boys outside. And since I couldn't find the front door I believe I caught the attention of juist of them. Just something to laugh about at course...

Very convenient location, 5 minutes to metro. Friendly staff. Cute rooms with high ceilings and cool decorations. Bed was very comfortable. Tea-time in the afternoon was a small but thoughtful detail. :)
Sink is not inside the bathroom since the bathroom was added to the room later on, which was not a big problem. Bathroom was a little smelly probably because the toilet flush is not too strong but all was clean.

The place is one of a kind. You can tell there's great care behind every detail, and the staff makes you feel welcome and cared for. If you really want to feel pampered, have breakfast there at least once. I wish I had had more time to enjoy it. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfortable. It's located in a lovely neighborhood, and close to Wittenbergplatz station, so it's very easy to get around from there. I'll surely keep this place in mind if/when I return to Berlin!
If we really want to split hairs, some parts of the room I was in showed subtle signs of time, but don't let this put you off.
