Abion is a lovely property. The problem we had was the temperature of the room. It was like as oven.
Our room was like an oven. After complaining 3 times in 2 days, they realized the HEAT was on! (84 degrees outside.) They tried to make it right, but we weren’t moving rooms. I wish they had listened to me 5 minutes after we checked in.

An exceptional stay — highly recommended From the moment I arrived, the Abion delivered on every front. The staff were outstanding — special mention to Yusef, who went above and beyond with his patience and attentiveness when I checked in. The restaurant was a real highlight — the food and service were both excellent. My room was peaceful and quiet with a lovely view, and the bed was so comfortable I had some of the best nights of sleep I can remember. Don't be put off/fooled by the tucked-away location — it's ideal. Just across the river from the Tiergarten and a single S-Bahn stop from the Hauptbahnhof or 2 stops the other direction to Zoologischer Garten, you're brilliantly connected without any of the city-centre noise. I'll absolutely be back.
The gym was closed for renovation, but I don't see that as negative, it's making it better!

Abion Spreebogen was in a good location - not far from the central train station and easily accessible by public transportation (we walked, but there were plenty of trams and busses you could take). The hotel was in a quiet area near the Spree where you could easily walk or run to the near by gardens and walk/run for hours (both adults in our family went for a run in the gardens in the morning and it was lovely, then we all walked through the gardens to get to the Brandenburg Gate and other destinations, stopping at playgrounds along the way). The room itself was very nice with two beds on different floors (my son loved the stairs and room layout) and an eating area.
We could not figure out how to adjust the temperature other than opening a window and as we were on a lower floor, we didn't feel comfortable leaving the window open all night, thus the upper floor of the room got quite warm over night.

The room was excellent for a Family Room. There where two levels which gave all of us ample space. The hotel is beautiful and is withing walking distance from some attractions.
The breakfast fee was quite expensive so we opted to go out each morning instead. I feel a discount needs to be given to staying members v walk in members. The beds where quite uncomfortable. And the room was a bit cold at times despite the aircons being switched to the highest level.

There is only one bottle of water in the room for the first night. They don't provide water for the following nights, which I haven't experienced in any other 4-star hotel. I reserved a room with a double bed, but they gave me a room with twin beds that weren't very comfortable.

I loved the location and the view! Loved how clean the room was and the window view of the river.
The food at the restaurant could be a little better. But that’s just me.

Split level bedroom - allowing more space. Complimentary hot milk a bonus. Location easily accessible using public transport (train).
Bed is on the soft side. Water at the wash basin run off slowly.
