The hotel was clean and airy. Staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. They recommended places of interest which were less crowded and not in any of the guide books
The rooms were very hot.
All though they offer a gluten free options at breakfast, it’s was defrosted bread and no way of toasting it

Excellent central location - 5 minute walk to nearest station, amazing breakfast, rooms very clean and comfortable, relaxing bar area. Reception team friendly, helpful and professional. Second visit, would definitely return and highly recommend!

An exceptional stay — highly recommended
From the moment I arrived, the Abion delivered on every front. The staff were outstanding — special mention to Yusef, who went above and beyond with his patience and attentiveness when I checked in.
The restaurant was a real highlight — the food and service were both excellent. My room was peaceful and quiet with a lovely view, and the bed was so comfortable I had some of the best nights of sleep I can remember.
Don't be put off/fooled by the tucked-away location — it's ideal. Just across the river from the Tiergarten and a single S-Bahn stop from the Hauptbahnhof or 2 stops the other direction to Zoologischer Garten, you're brilliantly connected without any of the city-centre noise. I'll absolutely be back.
The gym was closed for renovation, but I don't see that as negative, it's making it better!

The hotel was in a very quiet place ; easy to reach the public transport options. It was very clean and hotel people very kind and helpful. Everyday our room tidied. I should specially comment on the breakfast! It was really nice.. Everything was very fresh and tasteful. Although our reservation did not include breakfast , we decided to have by paying there, and see that absolutely there is no need to search for adventure outside. Thanks to the kind staff who make our holiday great.
There was nothing to dislike.

I loved the area and the view from the windows. Yes, we had two huge windows and it was lovely. I needed gluten-free options for breakfast and it was pretty good. It was a pain to see how many beautiful non-gf bakeries were available, but hubby was happy. :)
The hotel is a nice walking distance from main attractions.

Abion Spreebogen was in a good location - not far from the central train station and easily accessible by public transportation (we walked, but there were plenty of trams and busses you could take). The hotel was in a quiet area near the Spree where you could easily walk or run to the near by gardens and walk/run for hours (both adults in our family went for a run in the gardens in the morning and it was lovely, then we all walked through the gardens to get to the Brandenburg Gate and other destinations, stopping at playgrounds along the way). The room itself was very nice with two beds on different floors (my son loved the stairs and room layout) and an eating area.
We could not figure out how to adjust the temperature other than opening a window and as we were on a lower floor, we didn't feel comfortable leaving the window open all night, thus the upper floor of the room got quite warm over night.

The room was very spacious and the staff is very polite. The bed was comfortable and we really had a good sleep after a full day of walking around Berlin.
I loved the neighbourhood and it was very close to the metro station and other bus stations. The neighbourhood is safe and clean, you can have a lovely walk in the morning. There are nice coffee shops around.
cleanliness could be improved :)
don’t get me wrong, it was pretty clean but a little more attention on the details (especially in the bathroom) would be much appreciated.
