It was very clean. I have to give them that. The bathrooms even have a shower/bathtub.
The location is terrible, although the view onto the river can be nice (if you were actually given the room you booked). It’s located in a rather questionable area of Berlin. I wouldn’t stay there again. The “closet” is microscopic and couldn’t even hold a third of my suitcase packings. The housekeeping wasn’t nice at all. We asked for two extra pillows and they literally threw them at us and went away. One time I was taking a shower and a guy from housekeeping just walked in! Absolutely not ok! No person to be found at the reception to voice this rather serious complaint. We also noticed that they clearly were going and looking through our stuff. We built a few traps and they all showed that they looked inside suitcases and bags! 0/10 The two free bottles of water a day were never replaced. Neither have our bedsheets been changed. And we stayed there for three nights. Unacceptable for a “4****” Hotel. I’d give it 1.5/2 stars at best.

The location is perfect to explore the city. Easy to get to the hotel from Hauptbahnhof and boat tours dock right across the street. Great river views from the hotel room.
The air conditioning in our room was broken resulting in a very warm room at night. The problem couldn't be fixed during out time at the hotel.

The riverside view was really good and refreshing!
This was definitely not a 4 -star hotel. The bald man with a goatee at the reception is extremely rude… doesn’t even look the guests in the eyes and doesn’t speak clearly.

Disappointing
The location is good.
I just booked here because they were supposed to have air conditioning. It was not working, and asked for a repair, and nobody showed up. There are stairs to reach the elevator, and nobody was ready to help with the luggage after a long trip. The bed was not comfortable, and the internet slow. In sum, a nice looking hotel, but with really bad services.

Staff was great and helpful. Rooms were clean, nice size, beds and pillows comfortable. Great shower.

The room doesn't have minibar or fridge, just imagine in the such hot weather once you got back there no cool water to drink, not even in the lobby. The AC didnt work and the room was too hot The wifi just working in the lobby and in my room I didnt had Wi-Fi connection I reported all issues to reception but nothing get changed

Location, Bar und unser Zimmer mit Balkon und spreesicht, sehr ruhig im hektischen Berlin, Fahrrad Verleih, nespresso Kaffee Maschine im Zimmer :-) Frühstück war super :)
Ein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer wäre gut :) ein bisschen mehr Sauberkeit auch auf dem Balkon :-) einmal überwischen wäre super und die Glasspiegel im Bad und Tür :-)

Beautiful lobby and wonderful area with a few restaurants, cafes, grocery, etc. Easy access to all public transit. The tiergarten being nearby was one of the best parts! The property sits beautifully on the waterfront and the staff were lovely.
The WiFi and cell service in the family room was poor on the lower floor because it’s in the basement level of the property. The linens didn’t smell great and the bathroom sink had a strange smell, but that was specific to the room. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows were quite thin.

Abion is a lovely property. The problem we had was the temperature of the room. It was like as oven.
Our room was like an oven. After complaining 3 times in 2 days, they realized the HEAT was on! (84 degrees outside.) They tried to make it right, but we weren’t moving rooms. I wish they had listened to me 5 minutes after we checked in.

An exceptional stay — highly recommended From the moment I arrived, the Abion delivered on every front. The staff were outstanding — special mention to Yusef, who went above and beyond with his patience and attentiveness when I checked in. The restaurant was a real highlight — the food and service were both excellent. My room was peaceful and quiet with a lovely view, and the bed was so comfortable I had some of the best nights of sleep I can remember. Don't be put off/fooled by the tucked-away location — it's ideal. Just across the river from the Tiergarten and a single S-Bahn stop from the Hauptbahnhof or 2 stops the other direction to Zoologischer Garten, you're brilliantly connected without any of the city-centre noise. I'll absolutely be back.
The gym was closed for renovation, but I don't see that as negative, it's making it better!

Abion Spreebogen was in a good location - not far from the central train station and easily accessible by public transportation (we walked, but there were plenty of trams and busses you could take). The hotel was in a quiet area near the Spree where you could easily walk or run to the near by gardens and walk/run for hours (both adults in our family went for a run in the gardens in the morning and it was lovely, then we all walked through the gardens to get to the Brandenburg Gate and other destinations, stopping at playgrounds along the way). The room itself was very nice with two beds on different floors (my son loved the stairs and room layout) and an eating area.
We could not figure out how to adjust the temperature other than opening a window and as we were on a lower floor, we didn't feel comfortable leaving the window open all night, thus the upper floor of the room got quite warm over night.
