Wonderful
Location is good, near tourist places. Breakfast was delicious and worth price.
There was a construction near the Hotel when I stayed so our car could not enter the Hotel, we had to carry our luggage along the road.

The facilities are lovely, the room was clean and bright, plus it was pretty spacious. This is the second time I've stayed in the hotel.
We had a second person who received us when trying to do the check-in in the afternoon, after our arrival to only leave our suitcases, and he was friendly and kind.
Even though I chose the place this second time around since the first time I'd enjoyed my stay there, unfortunately this time the arrival was completely uncomfortable after being received by the rude staff. Goes to show how much of a difference people make when it comes to a stay, I would honestly hesitate to stay again in this place after being so rudely received this time. Some context; we arrived almost at noon, and the girl at the desk (Amelia?) 'greeted us' by asking what we were doing there.. to which we replied we had a reservation. She went on to state the check-in was at 3pm, etc, the usual, to which again we answered that okay we were aware but we were looking into possibly leaving our suitcase there. She looked extremely annoyed at that somehow, but redirected us to the room in front to leave our stuff. Before we went on, she started staying that the check-in was only from 3 to 7pm, so we had to be in between, otherwise it wouldn't be possible for us to check-in. We were quite shocked with this information (we had come here for a hike and would probably take us longer than 7pm to go back to bamberg downtown), however, we could still understand if it was a hotel policy. We went ahead then to try and ask for an option, e.g. if it'd be possibly to check-in earlier, to which the girl answered loudly the rooms were being cleaned up, and frankly at that point snooblishy looking at us as if we were plain idiots for not knowing that. We moved on and asked just for the payment - the hotel had withdrawn the amount for my account about 3 times already (had withheld it, given it back, then withheld it again, etc). She again started over explaining how this was the way in Germany, to which I had enough of her attitude at that point and replied I actually had lived in Germany over 3 years (none of which I had had such experiences with hotels), she stumbled then a little, and made something up that was the way in Bamberg.

The location is great.
Our room was spaciuos and clean. The old Fachwerkhaus style was really charming. The bathroom was also clean and on request the staff cleaned it every day.
Don't hesitate if you arrive by car. Parking in the parking garage is perfect and the walk to the hotel is about 5 minutes.
You'll pay 18 EUR/ day.
I would definitly reccommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bamberg.

It was an absolutely beautiful room in a historic building with all the amenities. We had a room on the top floor. It had a comfortable sofa and a large seating area.
Good breakfast. Walking distance to everything. Close to a parking structure. Exceptionally helpful staff. We had a few questions and had to contact them a couple of times. They responded very quickly and were so friendly. I would highly recommend it. We were only there one night but would have happily stayed longer.

It is in an unbeatable location, central to everything.
I booked a single room, which I expected to be modest. My room wasn't super clean; there were leaves under the desk so it was obviously not thoroughly vacuumed. The bed wasn't very comfortable: the quality of the mattress wasn't great, the fitted sheet was thin, and there was only one flat pillow - which placed against the hard head board made it uncomfortable to sit up in bed. I would have asked for a second pillow but there is no staff after 7 pm. The worst part of my stay was hearing the cleaning crew chat with each other right outside my room in the morning (with their cleaning supplies, towels, etc., lined up right outside my door). One of them even shouted over to one of their colleagues repeatedly, obviously needing something but not wanting to take the effort to walk down the hall and speak with them.

The location of the hotel, the reception staff's attitude, the food, and the room were all excellent, making it a memorable night for me and my family. We will definitely come back again.

The hotel is in an older set of buildings in historic Bamberg. We had a lovely view of the river from our room, it enhanced the stay! If you wanted breakfast you had to reserve a time in advance, the food was wonderful.
Parking was in a public garage about a 15-minute walk away.

A small hotel but was a good surprise! Right next to the city center and the old city hall (main attraction), refurbished rooms, amenities and surprisingly comfortable bed! Our room was street level but very silent. Lovely staff and the price was amazing.

Good value. Really loved the size of the room. And as a total bonus, our room overlooked the sculpture of the seat man that changes colors at night! Near bus stop from train station. Easy walk to everything in the historical center. Would totally recommend.
