The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant had amazing authentic german food. We had the best waiter both nights that we ate at the restaurant. It was amazing and very cozy place to stay.

Lovely spacious room and well appointed bathroom. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the garden which was lovely. Quiet and peaceful location. Good restaurant.
Restaurant closes quite early which might have been an issue if we had arrived later.

Beautiful hotel and restaurant tucked away in the woods. My partner and I had a fantastic stay at the Waldcafe. Our room was spacious, spotless, and offered a lovely view of the surrounding nature. The location is brilliant, right at the start of many hiking trails.
Breakfast was spot on, with a great mix of sweet and savoury options. Eggs are made to order, and the bread is freshly baked. We also had lunch at the restaurant and it was one of the best takes on German cuisine I ever had.
A tip for fellow bird lovers: the balcony room is a gem. I had a great time spotting a few local species straight from the balcony, including a European green woodpecker.
At this price point, I would’ve expected a kettle and some tea bags in the room.
It also would’ve been nice to have an actual double bed instead of two singles pushed together.

The room felt dormish with no character.
The staff in biergarten made it obvious we weren’t their first choice for guests, even giving out wrong information on something as simple as plant milk
