Disappointing stay – room and service concerns The location is convenient, with easy access to Wenceslas Square and the train station. However, we experienced several issues during our stay. Our room did not have air conditioning, and it was very warm, particularly at night. We requested an additional fan from the front desk twice, but unfortunately, one was never provided. When we first arrived, we raised our concern about the room. The front desk employee who checked us in later came to our room and said that we had booked a standard room but had been given a “nicer room” and that we were “lucky.” While we appreciated the room assignment, the way this was communicated, including her tone and gesture, felt dismissive and made us uncomfortable. We were simply trying to communicate a concern about the temperature and lack of air conditioning, and we would have appreciated a more understanding response. We also found the access to the 3rd floor inconvenient. The elevator does not stop on the 3rd floor, so guests must take the elevator to the 4th floor and then use the stairs to reach the 3rd floor. This was particularly inconvenient with luggage. Housekeeping was another area that could be improved. Basic toiletries, including shampoo, soap, and toothpaste, were not consistently replenished, and we had to request some items during our stay. The location is certainly convenient, but the lack of air conditioning, the unfulfilled requests for a fan, the unusual 3rd-floor access, inconsistent replenishment of toiletries, and the way our concern was handled affected our overall experience. We hope the hotel will consider these comments as areas for improvement. Based on our experience, we would choose a different hotel for our next visit to Prague.

Choose your room carefully, some attic rooms still require carry bags up stairs after the left and then the rooms are split with mezzanine level with steep steps

The staff, especially Sergej, could not have been more hospitable, professional and helpful. Of all the hotels on our 3 week trip this one had the very best air conditioning. Is a quirky old labyrinthine building with charm and a delightful roof top terrace. Location was perfect .... really close to the bustle of Prague but peaceful sleep was assured. We were treated like VIPs rather than just normal paying guests. Really enjoyed our two nights there on the way to Salzburg
