The property was beautiful and had a great location in Old Town Square. The staff was fabulous, especially Adam and Barbara. They could not have been more pleasant and helpful. I would have rated this property a 10 but the terrible breakfast and the fact of the staff allowing non guests to come into the hotel to take pictures on the Terrace floor. I’ll explain below.
The breakfast buffet could have been much better. The scrambled eggs looked like they were cooked two days earlier. The poached eggs were dry and cold. The variety of fruit and other ingredients for your yogurt were non-existent. The staff packed everybody into this small room which was extremely hot. Which was odd for how big the property is. It was so uncomfortable you couldn’t enjoy the breakfast. I mentioned the staff allowing non guest into the hotel to go up to the terrace. All day long there were a flood of non guests. Roaming the hotel and constantly using the elevator. So much so that paying guests of the hotel actually had to walk up and down the stairs because the elevators were constantly being used by non paying guests. One day I actually found a gentleman roaming our floor looking around and trying to open hotel room doors. When asked if he was lost or needed help he said “Oh, I’m just looking around.”. What a breach of security for the paying guests. When asked to talked a manager about the situation no one ever responded. It makes paying guests feel unvalued and unappreciated even though they are paying over 400 for this experience.

The location was excellent. Very central with the main tourist attractions within easy reach. Every thing was swell maintained and in working order.
1. The room we booked on booking.com was not anywhere near to the room we received, Room 43 has a sloped ceiling that renders half the floor space unusable.The bed is jammed into an opening that left no room to move next to the bed and no bedside tables, You have to crawl onto bed from the foot end of the bed. The space for the suitcases was jammed into the lowest end of the sloped roof and so was the seats. 2. You are supposed to hand your key in at reception on the first floor. However the endless stream of visitors visiting the rooftop bar with the famous instagram spot made it near impossible to take the elevator from the first to the third floor. There was never any space when it stops on the first floor. 3. The hotel charges 20 Euro per hour for an early check in. Had we had the room we booked on booking.com it may have been more palatable, but we still feel that charging for a early check-in is taking advantage of people. We left at 03:30 on the day that we checked out but there no discount for that.

The hotel was in a great location right in old town square. Beautiful hotel & room was lovely.
Unfortunately some of the staff let the property down, especially in the restaurant. The second night of our stay we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant & got what I can only state as appalling service. Food was uncooked & when we raised our complaint the waitress got in quite a temper & stormed off. Speaking to some other customers they experienced the same awful service. The hotel has a lovely roof terrace with beautiful views but this is a major tourist attraction & so many tourists who are not residents are coming through the hotel to get to the terrace, this caused high traffic & difficulty using the lift even though a resident. On our two night stay, we were woken at 5am each morning by the sound of running around & furniture moving in the room above us. We were told that the room was not occupied & reception would speak to housekeeping. Breakfast was quite poor, dishes not being refilled & the breakfast room was not cleared with tables left full of plates/cups etc making the tables unusable when we arrived.
