The position only
lack of a true lobby , stairs to reach lobby - lift (one only) always busy for people up and down with yhe bar restaurant terrace - room with bed too short - shower non complying safety - bill to be paid in advance - suggested tip per day in a separate bill at check out - room old and power socket far away from the bed - TV put i a corner at 45° view from the bed.
As it’s a pedestrianised area, they say that their affiliated drivers – who charge more than Uber Airport – can get there; NO, you’d have to walk through the back streets for at least 200 metres.
travelling worldwide let me say that this is not a 5 star hotel -never again here !!!!!

Excellent location fabulous building, everything you need, roof top bar, one of 10 best underground bars in the world, restaurant with great food.

Location can’t be beaten! .We had a room overlooking the square so there was a little noise in the evening but it wasn’t too bad. Staff couldn’t do enough for us and it was very very clean.

Location
Front desk wanted a passport vs Slovakia ID card at check in. I’ve never had this happen anywhere else in the EU. Automatically added a 12.5% recommended service charge at Terrace and outside bar. Didn’t offer an option to change. No complimentary water in our room. Air conditioner did not work. High step to get into tub shower & very slippery. Small breakfast presentation for a 5* hotel. Even suggested a recommended tip at checkout, but did say it was optional, which I removed from bill. Overall not impressed with this hotel.

Location was good , close to clock tower and easy to walk to all tourist areas
Staff was not friendly , at check in made it sound very difficult to get a seat at the rooftop bat even though is advertised that we dont need reservation as we stayed at hotel . Front desk did make reservation for us . The Rooftop bar was basically empty when we went up at 10 pm and was not necessary to make it sound impossible to get a seat . I paid 10 euros tip to the front desk for getting us a seat . Was not necessary . The Hotel gas no sign . When arriving by car it is difficult to find . We had to call two times to find out where to park . Its in front of a Bar . The Breakfast was stale and no variety . It was very basic .

The suite we stayed in was magnificent. Totally blew us away. The views from the living room window and balcony were priceless. The hotel is in the old town square next to the clock. The whole area is alive with activities, restaurants , bars etc etc. The rooftop terrace is a must do but be prepared to wait for a table.
Paying 350 euros night for a suite i did not expect to be charged 6 euros fo a bottle of water in my room. Total rip off. If you have a lot of luggage it may be difficult getting to the hotel because it is in a pedestrian zone.

A lovely hotel, understated with the emphasis on service in a superb location
We stayed in a junior suite with a view over Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock, very stylishly decorated, sympathetic to the 12th century building (not in a "corporate" style) extremely comfortable bed, fully stocked mini bar, large sitting room and dressing room, excellent room service. The bathroom was quite small and dated; clean and functional but definitely needs an upgrade with much better lighting
The bar/restaurant/terrace was welcoming with super staff, all smiling and seemed genuinely happy to see us, they work as a well organised team with excellent leadership from the head waiters.
The roof terrace bar did have great views but was full of "Instagrammers" etc, working at being seen, not an enjoyable experience all. The Black Angels speakeasy bar was fun, staffed by experienced friendly mixologists; again we were made to feel very welcome.
We drove to Prague from the UK in our classic sports car, a special thank you to Adam who took good care of the car for us as part of the valet parking service
If we return to Prague, we will definitely stay at the Hotel U Prince.
We had an issue with breakfast on the first morning but this was very quickly addressed to our satisfaction by the lovely receptionist and duty manager

We loved our stay at Hotel U Prince Prague because of the location, the helpful friendly staff, the great breakfasts, the comfortable furnishings. We really can’t think of anything to complain about and we would definitely stay there again if we ever return to Prague.
