Pleasant
Good location, nice looking hotel.
Some of the younger members of staff were very abrupt verging on rode and not client centric. The hotel advertises as having room service but other than breakfast they offer no other food or room service which is very poor for a 5 star hotel. The first room we had was on the fifth floor which is just under the rooftop bar so the music could be heard at a very loud volume, we asked where the noise was coming from and they kindly offered to move us as they said it goes on until 3am each night at the weekend, the second room was much better but the air conditioning didn’t work, they fixed it the following day. Given it’s a 5 star lose shower fittings, broken plugs, leaking shower screen, broken in room phone etc are things you just don’t expect. Breakfast was really good with lots of options.

Great location to main attractions
Hotel roof bar only open to reservations despite reception team claiming it was the hotel bar and open until 3am. At times music was loud and could be heard in the room. We spoke to the manager and they took the feedback well.

Wonderful
Unfortunately, the room cleanliness was not quite up to the standard we expected from this hotel. There were stains on the carpet, and our used glasses were left uncleaned for two days. Although the hotel states that the minibar is restocked daily, in our experience only the water was replaced.
That said, there were plenty of things we loved. The view from our room was spectacular, and I particularly enjoyed sitting by the window watching the river and the boats go by. The location is excellent, just an easy 10-minute walk to Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square, and the spa was also a lovely bonus. Breakfast was spectacular, with a fantastic choice.
Most importantly, when I raised my concerns, Karim reacted immediately and could not have been more lovely or attentive. His warm welcome and genuine care made such a difference to our stay. He is, without a doubt, the best asset of the hotel and deserves special recognition.
Overall, there were some areas that could be improved, but Karim’s exceptional service and the hotel's fantastic location and facilities left us with a positive impression.
The standard of cleanliness could definitely be improved. The rooms are starting to feel a little dated, particularly the carpets, which really need replacing. The bathrooms also feel somewhat aged, and the finishes were not quite up to the luxury standard we were expecting.

Very Good
Mixed experience at The President hotel. Overall an 8/10.
The good:
1. We stayed in a Junior suite, which was spacious. The highlight was the 3 connected windows at the far end of the room, which give an uninterrupted view of the river. Next to the windows was a long cushioned nook area, which allowed myself, my wife and our young daughter to all easily lie down in comfort together and enjoy watching Prague in action. This was a wonderful feature - one of the best I've ever had in a hotel - we used it every night / morning
2. Housekeeping restock the minibar every couple of days with free water, crisps, coke, juice and a KitKat
3. The spa is very nice and had a large kid-friendly pool. Feels like it was recently refurbished
4. Breakfast spread was large albeit not 'high-end' quality. But did include free prosecco. Crepes were the best thing, worth trying
5. Location of the hotel is amazing. Perfectly located in the old town, right on the river, next to the Jewish quarter. We never had to walk more than 10-15 minutes to get anywhere really
6. Welcome drinks upon arrival
7. No issues with getting late checkout (no charge)
8. Front desk were generally very helpful and friendly
9. Roof terrace bar has great views
All in all, an enjoyable stay, albeit there are certain areas where the hotel can definitely improve.
The bad/weird:
1. Bedroom - dated - feels like it hasn't been refurbished in a long long time. Storage: cupboards were large but really seemed designed for business dress - most space is designated for long, hanging clothes (eg shirts, suits). There were some pullout drawers for folded clothes but right at the bottom of cupboards, meaning you have to bend over every time to access them
2. Housekeeping were very functional and efficient: emptying bins, making the bed, restocking the minibar and replacing towels. But that was it. Perfectly fine for us as we weren't looking for any special touches. But don't be weirded out by nothing else being arranged/folded in the bedroom or bathroom
3. Breakfast: bit crazy with how busy it can get. I feel like there should have been 1 or 2 more staff working. Also, the dishwasher broke one day and so dishes were cleaned by hand - but all the dishes put out were rather filthy and I had to cycle through plates until finding a clean one, plus there were no more large plates available. Also no tea or coffee offered to your table (something I would expect from a 5 star hotel)
4. Lifts can be a bit maddening - in busy times there is a queue. Especially for our floor - we were staying on 3b (in between 3 and 4) - I can imagine this was built later on in the history of the hotel and so is only served by one lift
5. Spa changing room (my experience of the men's). Whilst the room itself is large and pleasant, I can only assume it is not intended to be used as a changing room. There are 2 showers: one was missing half a door, the other had a broken shower head. Also there is only liquid soap provided in the showers (no shampoo) - which was empty anyway. All this meant I had to go up to my room to continue my shower.
The changing area itself is right next to the entrance door to the changing room, which is kept permanently open, meaning anyone walking by (man, woman or child) can see into it.
