Overall, based purely on my own impressions, this is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
I have no complaints about the staff, but I do have serious complaints about the management.
First, the hotel is 600 meters from Wenceslas Square. That’s one extra metro stop farther.
Second, I reserved one room type; they said there were problems with it and switched me to another one, lowering the price and adding breakfast, which I didn’t need.
Third, the new room had a sewer/plumbing issue, and they moved me again to yet another room of the same type.
Fourth, the bathroom had a shower-switching system I’d never encountered before, with no explanation whatsoever—unlike the detailed instructions on how to handle the towels.
And most importantly: I understand it was winter and the hotel was heated very warmly, but the duvets were also very warm. When I asked for a lighter duvet, they told me there weren’t any others. I was forced either to turn off the heating and open the window (and it was snowing at night), and at some point I would wake up from the cold, or to sleep under a sheet in my clothes. As a result, I slept 3–4 hours a night, and the mild cold I had when I checked in turned into a serious illness.

Nice hotel for a short stay, a bit crowded at the breakfast, also not enough benches in the pool area. But overall was a good stay. Parking is possible under IBIS hotel with direct access to Novotel, special price for hotel guests is offered.

There were so many tasty breakfast items to choose from. The pastries changed daily to keep things interesting. It was about a 20 minute walk to the downtown central core. It was in a very safe and vibrant neighbourhood. There were many restaurant and shopping choices in the area.
The pool would run out of towels within the last hour of swimming.

Clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Kids area was great. Teens appreciated the Xbox.
Room was not ready at check in but the woman at the counter was so friendly and helpful. She let us store our luggage and get a drink at the bar while we waited. She was great!

Sorry to say that hotel was very disappointing. When choosing Novotel you expect a certain level of service and comfort, but here, unfortunately, there was no such thing. The hotel rather corresponds to the level of Ibis, and this feeling starts from the check-in.
We were with family for 5 nights in may 2025
The room itself at first glance looks renewed and this is a plus, but on closer inspection it becomes clear that the repair is made poorly. In some places unpainted areas of the ceiling in the shower, dangling elements of fastening.
I was also surprised by the lack of a wardrobe - this is typical for Ibis hotels, the room does not have basic amenities that you expect from Novotel (and that is available in other hotels of Novotel chain.
One of the key disadvantages is breakfast. It takes place in a common space for Ibis and Novotel guests, and as a result the atmosphere is absolutely not up to the level of four stars. Very crowded, cramped, noisy, food is sometimes in short supply and you have to wait for a refill. Feels like you have to eat quickly and make room. It's hard for the waiters to cope with such a flow of guests. The children's area also needs a major overhaul - everything looks tired and worn out.
One more thing - they don’t provide water, if you want you have to take a mug and go through all corridor to fill it ???
Last - but this goes for the whole chain - the pillows are awful, replace them please, you don't want to sleep on them.
Overall, if it was just an Ibis, I would have been more lenient. But as a hotel, declared as Novotel, it clearly does not reach its level. I would recommend the management to reconsider the concept - either to increase the level of service and differentiate between Ibis and Novotel, or to be honest with guests in positioning.

Room was far too hot couldn’t sleep and the fan just made me wake up with a dry sore throat. Pool was closed as the info was hidden at the bottom of the page under Covid restrictions. Breakfast was pretty average not much stocked up over busy and some of the cereal dispensers didn’t work. Staff not very welcoming. Fridge didn’t work. Sky bar is just a few seats without cushions

In the end this place was great.
At first severely disappointed the pool and gym were out of action. We didn’t think to check the page after booking for changes so didn’t know the pool was closed but the staff and manager were very helpful and supportive.
It was very clean and pretty quiet.
Breakfast was well maintained.
Not much for the kids to do but they are undergoing some improvement works so I appreciate that everything was upside down.
