The romantic Monastery Hotel in the peaceful garden of the Strahov Monastery offers superb views of Prague Castle, Lesser Town, the Old Town and the Vltava river. Prague Castle is just a few steps away and all the other historic sights of the Golden City are easily accessible on foot as well or by public transport. The modern interior design uniquely complements the ancient style of this building. All rooms feature a flat-screen satellite TV, free high-speed internet and tea and coffee making facilities. An internet point and a wireless internet zone is available in the lobby free of charge. Drinks can be purchased at the reception, which can also arrange sightseeing tours and excursions. Due to the historic monument protection there is no elevator in the building. All rooms are accessible only by stairs. The reception is only open from 07:00 to 19:00. When booking 9 or more people or 4 or more rooms for the same date, through one or more bookings, the hotel may apply different payment and cancelation policies. Please note that the same credit/debit card that was used for the prepayment of your booking needs to be presented upon arrival. If you are not the card holder or wish to cover the cost of the booking with a different credit card, please contact the hotel in advance. Contact details are stated in the book ng confirmation. It is possible to park your car in locked parking in hotel’s backyard (max. width 85 in, max. height 75 in). Reservation of parking is required.

Whatever I say about this hotel will not be enough to express my satisfaction and the experience we had there! First - a very very warm welcome! We arrived at 9 am and only asked to leave our luggage until check-in time; we were told that the room was ready and we were welcome to check-in which was great! Moreover, we were offered an upgraded room, I do not know why, but THANK YOU, people, so much! The location - near the Petrin Hill, next to the magnificent Strahov Monastery, amid fresh air, blue sky, bird songs, you cannot imagine how blissful it felt, especially early in the morning! Having coffee on the terrace, I felt like staying there all day long instead of sightseeing gorgeous Prague! Breakfast - excellent! I do not have breakfast normally, but this time I could not help myself :) The room was extremely large, very well equipped, the bed was large and very comfortable. And it was so quiet during the night, so peaceful, so lovely! And the STAFF - very welcoming, friendly, professional, ready to help with anything! THANK YOU SO MUCH! This hotel is now in my top ten and whenever we go back to Prague we will surely stay there!

Lovely staff, delicious breakfast each morning, with patio seating as optional. Very good location once we figured out the trolly routes and catching the trolley was just a few minutes away. Would stay there again.
No air conditioning but the temps were moderate. An open window and a desk fan kept the room comfortable. And it was a little hard to find the first night.

We loved the location and the serene nature of the hotel. The deluxe room was very comfortable For table and large enough to feel luxurious. The extra touch of the complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. The room had a mini fridge and had a machine for coffee or tea. Bed was comfortable. Windows opened and our room had amazing views of the city below. Staff were amazing especially Gabriella. She also spoke English which was an added bonus. . Loved sitting in the garden each morning with our coffee. Breakfast was very tasty and had an assortment of hot and cold items. We can’t say enough about the hotel and the beautiful location.

Great views of the city from my room. It was beautiful. Very quiet at night. Very good assortment of breakfast items.
It is quite a walk to the bridge and many of the attractions. The good news is that it is all downhill...until you want to come home after a long day of walking. :) Tram is easy to use though. Hired a car through the hotel to pick me up since it was after 11pm when i arrived at the airport. No one was waiting when I arrived. So I got an Uber and they dropped me off just outside the monastery but it was late at night and I had no idea where the hotel was. I asked a tourist sitting on a bench if she new and she walked with me around the property until we found it. It wouldn't have been a big deal if it was light outside or if I had done more research before I arrived. Hotel apologized and did not charge me.

We loved everything about the property. The location is perfect, calm, and quiet even though it’s close to the castle and museums. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. The bathroom was warm and inviting and super clean. We even loved being able to walk around the gardens and to Petrin tower to watch the sunrise. The beautiful sounds of the birds and church bells was soothing and peaceful.
We should’ve stayed longer!

It's a bit of a challenge to get to the hotel parking lot, even if there is a free space. Steep stairs to the sleeping area.
