The romantic Monastery Hotel in the peaceful garden of the Strahov Monastery offers superb views of Prague Castle, Lesser Town, the Old Town and the Vltava river. Prague Castle is just a few steps away and all the other historic sights of the Golden City are easily accessible on foot as well or by public transport. The modern interior design uniquely complements the ancient style of this building. All rooms feature a flat-screen satellite TV, free high-speed internet and tea and coffee making facilities. An internet point and a wireless internet zone is available in the lobby free of charge. Drinks can be purchased at the reception, which can also arrange sightseeing tours and excursions. Due to the historic monument protection there is no elevator in the building. All rooms are accessible only by stairs. The reception is only open from 07:00 to 19:00. When booking 9 or more people or 4 or more rooms for the same date, through one or more bookings, the hotel may apply different payment and cancelation policies. Please note that the same credit/debit card that was used for the prepayment of your booking needs to be presented upon arrival. If you are not the card holder or wish to cover the cost of the booking with a different credit card, please contact the hotel in advance. Contact details are stated in the book ng confirmation. It is possible to park your car in locked parking in hotel’s backyard (max. width 85 in, max. height 75 in). Reservation of parking is required.

Room was upgraded for us. Ground floor with lots of space and ensuite. We are two active people in our seventies but very much appreciated not having to climb the stairs to get to the room. It was also close to the reception and the breakfast room with access to the garden and terrace. It was also quiet - we were not disturbed by the monastery bells.

A unique location with friendly, helpful staff! We only had one night here, but would certainly stay again! Breakfast buffet was splendid, we ate on the patio, enjoying every minute. Thank you for the wonderful privilege of our stay!

Exceptionally helpful reception. This hotel is the surely most delightful hidden treasure in Prague - both respectful of the history of the building and environment, whilst providing a comfortable and secluded stay. Wake to bird-song in the morning and go to sleep in probably the quietest spot in the city you'll ever find. The bath-tubs are welcome after a day's walking!Please visit the local pub U Cerneho Vola which is 200m away - it helps support a neighbouring school for the blind.

An exceptional hotel -a wonderful spacious room in a former monastery . Everything of a high standard and 3 different splendid, friendly receptionists . Delicious and varied breakfast choice .
Its location, a little away from the centre,might discourage a few travellers but it's only 8 minutes on the frequent 22 tram ( part of a superb capital transport system - free for under 15s and over 65s ,and reduced fares for over 60s )but located amongst a group of lovely historical buildings and within easy walking distance to the well - worth a visit Prague Castle .And more powerful bedside reading lights wouldn't go amiss .

Whatever I say about this hotel will not be enough to express my satisfaction and the experience we had there! First - a very very warm welcome! We arrived at 9 am and only asked to leave our luggage until check-in time; we were told that the room was ready and we were welcome to check-in which was great! Moreover, we were offered an upgraded room, I do not know why, but THANK YOU, people, so much! The location - near the Petrin Hill, next to the magnificent Strahov Monastery, amid fresh air, blue sky, bird songs, you cannot imagine how blissful it felt, especially early in the morning! Having coffee on the terrace, I felt like staying there all day long instead of sightseeing gorgeous Prague! Breakfast - excellent! I do not have breakfast normally, but this time I could not help myself :) The room was extremely large, very well equipped, the bed was large and very comfortable. And it was so quiet during the night, so peaceful, so lovely! And the STAFF - very welcoming, friendly, professional, ready to help with anything! THANK YOU SO MUCH! This hotel is now in my top ten and whenever we go back to Prague we will surely stay there!
