We thought this was a perfect place to stay. The location was great. The staff was amazing. We loved having a restaurant right there for early morning and late night , in addition to many, really great restaurants and wine bar.After our tour of Prague, we realized that we were staying in a really important area. In the past, the tax collector lived in the small palace that was across the street from the hotel and all the merchants used to come and pay their taxes.
It was cold in Prague in September and they didn’t have heat so that was a little challenging, but they did provide extra blankets.

Atmosphere, location, desk staff
My pet friendly room was the last to be cleaned throughout the week I stayed at Josephine. In entry, to my surprise, I had to request a food bowl and a water bowl - standard in almost all pet-friendly hotels.
There is no lounge area in the hotel. Only cafe- like small tables and chairs outdoors.
No telephones in the rooms.
While breakfast was varied, abundant and satisfying, their restaurant food is best left alone.

Location was great. But there is lots of competition in the Josefov, and this place doesn't compete.
AC didn't work. Staff messed up my reservation and I arrived with no room, even though I had evidence of extending my reservation. This is a long story and let it just be said that most travelers would be enraged with what happened to me. I was relaxed but there were multiple mistakes.

Lovely staff and vibe. Beautiful room with big wooden beams and gorgeous old wooden furniture. Nice a close to all the touristy stuff. I would happily stay here again.
Everything was great from the moment we walked in the door. Nothing that I didn’t like.
