Everything about this hotel is excellent - comfortable big bed, spacy shower cabin, quiet room and lovely view, good heating, tasty and sufficient breakfast, cleaning every day and of course - a great location, 30min walking distance to both city center and Vysehrad fortress, 5min walk to tram station, 10min walk to metro station. The staff was polite, we even bought water/beverages from the reception, because the prices were very reasonable. There are some nice places to eat around the corner, for which we were given 10% voucher discount from the hotel. Top place to stay in Prague 1. Thank you Orion Hotel!

First of all the staff. They were all so polite and Ms. Sylvia was always there to ask if everything is alright. Then, there's the location which is very convenient as it's 3-4 minutes from the tram station and 6-7 minutes from the metro station. The neighborhood has some great choices for food, beers and coffee. Also, the hotel had some complintary coupons for those places. Last but not least we found the breakfast choices fantastic. Especially their home made sweets. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to have a comfortable stay, explore Prague but don't want the downtown fuss.

We came for three nights and decided to stay for ten. That says it all.
The hotel is perfectly located in Prague 2 in a beautiful quiet area but with coffee and restaurants close by.
It is perfectly maintained, clean and beautiful. Breakfast is made daily by three ladies that produce the best pastries and dishes. Like the hotel, it is not pretentious - just the best home quality - a home in Prague.
The staff was attentive to every request. Thank you for a wonderful time.
The perfect base for a stay in Prague.

Very spacious room, kitchen is a added bonus, very friendly staff. You can get #22 tram just 5 mins away from the hotel which will take you to the main city center within 15 mins time. Nearby restaurants, mini markets are within 5 mins walking distance.
Breakfast could be bit better, less options.

Wonderful Spring in Prag
We stayed at Orion Hotel for 5 days and 4 nights and had a great time as the hotel is very neat and the apartments are really spacious and well equipped.
The breakfast room was really tiny and in the basement, but nevertheless the buffet was rich and altering every day with lovely home made cakes and lovely staff to clean and fill up the buffet or help with anything.
Because the hotel is in a non-touristic corner of town, it has a very mellow vibe and one can really dive into the Prague vibe with mini-markets, lovely small cafés and various restaurants just around the corner. It will take you a 20-25 minutes to walk downtown or you can take the subway from the station (3 minutes walk) which will take you max. 5 minutes.
And finally to our highlight of our stay at Orion Hotel: This was a young guy called “Andrej”, who we met at the reception on the first day of our stay as we checked in. He was so friendly and enthusiastic to point out interesting opportunities and highlights of “his” city, which increased our anticipation of the stay even more.

Optimisation potential: There are no smart options to plug electronic devices like smartphones or laptops, f.ex. one had to unplug the connector for the light next to the bed so one could plug in the cell phone over night - but like that you did not have a bed light.
We would recommend to give all breakfast staff a short training at the beginning of the season and to teach them the basic words / sentences in English, so if a guest asks them something, they are empowered to have a simple conversation

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were big, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great as well.
It would have been nice to have some English language channels on the TV (due to the amount of foreigners staying at the hotel who don't speak Czech). Other than that, everything was superb.
