If you come with your own car, the parking is just such a bonus! Right in the center, for free, very close to the hotel. That was a big plus for us. Overall the hotel is comfortable
There is no airconditioning, so that made it challenging to sleep since it was summer and so hot

The staff were exceptional. Very helpful, friendly and efficient. My partner celebrated her birthday during our stay, and the lovely card and gift was an unexpected surprise.

Wonderful cosy hotel with super friendly stuff!
Great breakfast, free executive lounge with some snacks and drinks, good treatments upon the arrival (small souvenirs, Praga pass, discounts). The room is good, backyard view one is quiet at nights.
Our family can highly recommend this place to stay!

The breakfast is great, so much to choose from. The bed was comfortable, large pillows, large bathroom. Hotel is a historic place close to restaurants and cafes nearby, easy walk to the old town, but tram stop right in front if you want it
My first reaction was disappointment because of the dirty sidewalk, smell of urine when you first walk up to the door, car parking is in a dirty, shady area under the bridge but the car survived the two nights. The building is a maze of corridors, rooms are pretty small, room looked out onto a wall

Our stay was wonderful! The room was spotless, quiet, and fresh. The location is perfect – parking right in front of the hotel and only a short walk to the Old Town. The elevator was very convenient, and the minibar was impressively stocked. The staff were all extremely polite, kind, and helpful; special thanks to Ivan at reception for his time and guidance about the hotel and the city. We also received a lovely Prague-themed gift, which made us very happy. Breakfast was absolutely excellent (I’ll share a photo!). If we come back to Prague, we’ll definitely choose this hotel again

The staff is very friendly.
The photos of the rooms on Booking do not correspond to reality, our room was in a corner with no space and the bathroom had no curtains in the bathtub (when you showered standing up everything was flooded even if you were careful).
According to the hotel they can't do anything about it, but I was expecting a 4 star hotel and I found a 2 star hotel.
The air conditioning is important if you go in summer, and also when we arrived the elevator was broken and it was a fourth floor (but this was a one time thing).
Waiting for breakfast at certain hours.
I would not go back.

Excellent stay at Hotel Merkur in Prague! The location is perfect, close to the old town and main attractions. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the breakfast was varied and delicious. The staff were friendly, always attentive to details, and even surprised us with a lovely gift. An ideal choice for a successful city break in Prague!
