Wonderful
The hotel and rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfy. The hotel is only a 3 minute walk from the train station. Train journey to Praha is no more than 5 mins. The breakfast offers a reasonable selection of options.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like!

At least the bed is clean.
The hotel manager has no knowledge or logic at all to run a hotel. We gave her our passports and she keeps wanting us to provide a visa when a Taiwanese doesn’t need a visa to stay in this country less than 30 days. ( even you don’t know, your customs knew and welcomed us to visit the country)We showed her the google information that she needs to check in her customs website as a “hotel manager”. She still doesn’t allow us to check in until we provide our US Green card because she saw our current address is in the US. (Thank God we have not only Taiwanese passport and US green card) This never happened in our whole life in any other hotels or countries. She wasted us more than half hour at the front table by insisting us to provide something we don’t have or we are not required to have. It’s totally unprofessional. This is the worst hotel that we’ve ever stayed in our whole life. No other people enjoy breakfast in the dining room at 9:00a.m.. It’s a creepy hotel. Definitely not recommended to stay if you are expecting a pleasant trip.

My stay at Hotel Askania was extremely disappointing and far below the standards of a four-star hotel. The internet in my room did not work for several days. When I asked for help, the receptionist told me to use her personal mobile hotspot in the lobby, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel advertising Wi-Fi in every room. Housekeeping was inconsistent and careless. I had to call reception each time to get clean towels, and on the last day my room was not cleaned at all: no fresh towels, no trash removal, no bed made. The toiletries provided were minimal and insufficient, and when I asked for slippers, I was told to pay 10 euros extra. The most serious issue was the flooding incident. I was told that water had spread in my room, but I never left any water running and did not see any leak. The hotel later accused me of causing the damage without any proof, even though it was their staff who first discovered it. I was moved to another room with no proper explanation and never shown any evidence. Throughout my stay, I repeatedly asked to speak to the hotel management, but they refused to meet me in person. Later, when my room key stopped working, I was unfairly told that I had “broken” it and should pay for it, even though this has apparently happened to other guests because the cards are poor quality. Instead of taking accountability for their poor management and maintenance, the hotel tried to repeatedly shift the blame onto me, even using threatening language about “protecting their rights” and “taking legal action”. Their unprofessional attitude, poor communication, and lack of basic service made my stay extremely unpleasant. I strongly advise future guests to reconsider staying here.

Clean and spacious . Absolutely amazing place to stay. Easy to get to old town by one tram. Way to get from airport to. One bus, one metro train and one tram. 5 min walk to Hotel. There is sauna. €20 for 1 hour. Privat sesion, only for you.
