When it was hot weather one night, the room got very hot and a bit smelly. But, it happened on one night only. Rest of the nights, it was fine.

Maybe how clean was the room, especifically the bed, it was itchy all the time.

The payment process needs improvement. They couldn’t charge my card remotely, and on arrival, the card machine was broken. I had cash, but the conversion rate they used was very unfavorable — 2000 CZK was valued at €70 instead of €85. Additionally, I was told the price would be €10 higher than on Booking.com because they use a different conversion rate. This was not clearly explained beforehand and was disappointing.

Be wary of the stairs if you have a heavy suitcase.

It's a small thing but for future I'd reccomend for single rooms to have a single larger mattress rather than 2 small ones.

Noise was the main problem, night after night during my 10 night stay. I have stayed in dozens, if not 100's of hostels during the last 20 years, in the UK and overseas, and accept these institutions are not the quietest of places, but having to shout "keep the noise down" after midnight is not acceptable. People talking and laughing loudly in the corridor outside my dorm, one night it went on until 1:30 am. Banging doors late at night, and people coming in the shared domatory in the early hours talking. No, no! Other negatives, I was told there was an age limit of 40 when I checked in. So why was I not told this when I booked? When I booked the accommodation on booking.com, I was told I could pay by Credit Card. Alas, just before I arrived, I received a message from the hostel saying my C Card had been declined and if I didn't use an alternative method of payment, my booking would be cancelled which caused me stress. After arrival at check in, I attempted again to pay using the same C Card, and it was declined yet again. They tried to tell me the card was invalid, but this didn't wash with me. So I went into the city that evening and successfully paid for a meal with the same card. Incidentally, I have had a C Card for 18 years and never had a transaction declined. The issue is that organisations have to pay Credit Card fees to be able to use these cards and this hostel doesn't pay these fees. In the end I successfully made the payment using my debit card. I had to ask the housekeeper to empty the waste bin in my domatory as it has not been emptied for 3 days and was overflowing. I have recently undertaken voluntary work for hostels in the UK and waste bins are emptied each day. Regarding value for money. This hostel changed me £31GB Pounds per night. I know this is Prague but for more or less the same money, I stayed in a superb hostel in Singapore last October and the price included breakfast. And Singapore is not cheap!
