Historic building. Great location and unique- Fun to stay in.
Unit I was in had living space floor 2 and bedroom upstairs from that. However Bedroom was
5 Steps up from the bathroom. Nice clean spaces but the 5 steps were not desirable.

This UNESCO designated hotel was exceptional. The room was unique & the hotel as we discovered our surroundings was 5 minutes from all the sites we wanted to see. The staff was very attentive & kind.

We chose this hotel for its central location—close to all the main sights yet tucked away on a quiet street. That proved true, as we didn’t hear any noise from outside during our stay. The room was warm and cozy, which was perfect for our October visit. However, it might get a bit hot in summer since there didn’t seem to be any air conditioning.
We usually stay in more modern hotels, but we wanted something with a different character this time, and BSS definitely delivered. The place has a lovely medieval charm, though taller guests should be careful since the ceilings are quite low. The bathroom was small but modern and had enough space for our needs.
The receptionist, Romana, was very friendly and even welcomed us with a drink upon check-in. She also kindly accommodated our request for smaller pillows. Overall, we really enjoyed our 3-night stay—great location, plenty of character, and excellent value for money.
The area was definitely quiet, but unfortunately, some guests were very noisy. We were woken up around 5 a.m. by the loud closing of the gate and people talking loudly outside. We reported this to the receptionist, who mentioned that we could have called at the time. She said she would review the cameras to identify who was responsible and remind them to keep the noise down, which we appreciated.
A more bothersome issue, however, was the smoking in the stairwell next to our room. Each time we opened our windows at night, we could smell cigarette smoke coming in. As non-smokers, this was quite unpleasant—especially since the hotel is advertised as non-smoking. If smoking is not permitted, the ashtray near the stairs should really be removed to help enforce this policy.

The location was excellent, in the middle of everything. Our suite was large and tastefully decorated. It was quiet despite being in the middle of everything.
Tissues would have been nice, but everything else was perfect.
