Room was like prison

I was there in August and while not super hot, it was very humid. In the USA, hotels would be using their AC and rooms would have independent AC. But this hotel, like almost all European hotels have a central AC with a central cooling system. So, quite the thermostat may appear to work and the fan blows, the air is not cool.

There were some minor damages on the furniture, dirt on the carpet, missing towel hook on the bathroom door = just holes from the screws. Little loud A/C.

It is a little far from the center city area (my mom had some walking issues which made us aware), but great accessibility to the train station.

I couldn’t think of any.

Rooms were a little outdated

Room airco could only be turned off by removing a cable/fuse. The pool area was under renovation so we couldn't use it.

Overall, I think the hotel has great potential to live up to their 5 stars status. Unfortunately, my experience fell short. While the room was spacious m, if was pretty empty and lacked the thoughtful amenities as a 5 stars hotel. For example, there was an armchair in the corner of the room but no coffee table to offer you the comfort necessary to enjoy the complimentary tea and coffee. And to add to that, there was no complimentary bottle of water - which you expect in a 5 stars hotel. One of the main letdowns was the spa being closed for maintenance during my stay which was particularly disappointing given this was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel and was willing to pay a premium price. I felt a fair compensation would have been a 30% refund for each night of my stay. Instead, the hotel offered a 30% discount on any massage, which felt counterintuitive. Essentially asking the customers to spend more money to make up for somethings that was promised but unavailable. I had communicated my concerns ahead of my arrival, but unfortunately my feedback was ignored. I raised the same issue again during my stay and the hotel did offer a complimentary dinner, which I appreciate but it didn’t feel like a fair resolution. As for the restaurant, while the food was decent, the options were limited and didn’t reflect the local cuisine. I was expecting a more authentic dining experience, but I didn’t feel there were any traditional dishes on the menu to choose from (apart from the beef soup). The pork chop was tough and bland, and the lack of local offerings resulted in dining in an empty restaurant - apart from one other table. As I mentioned in the beginning, the hotel has potential and with that lobby, you managed to create a good initial impact - but that luxurious feel did not carry all the way up to the rooms - date i say the wing my room was on - 357 - felt like staying in a completely different hotel and barely met the 3/4 stars expectations.

The building is a little bit old, it needs a little maintenance. I had the feeling that it was not a 5 star hotel. Rooms a little bit to small for two people.
