The Prague Carlo IV is an exceptionally beautiful hotel. I took my daughter there for her 30th birthday and they accommodated with cake and balloons. The Spa is so relaxing, I absolutely would return.

One of the Best Hotel Experiences We've Ever Had
My girlfriend and I (both 29, accountants from London) agree this is genuinely one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in, easily comparable to top 5-star hotels in other major cities we have visited. From the moment we arrived, the staff stood out for their warmth and helpfulness. Everyone greeted us with a smile and made us feel incredibly welcome.
We were lucky enough to be selected as the hotel's "Guests of the Day," which came with a complimentary upgrade to a stunning suite. To our surprise, they also sent up a bottle of bubbly and chocolate-dipped strawberries, along with a handwritten note. It was a thoughtful gesture we've never experienced before, and it truly impressed us.
We’ll absolutely be returning—and recommending it to our friends.
Highlights:
Hotel Design: Beautiful inside and out. Booking this for our 5-year anniversary definitely earned me some boyfriend points! The suite had elegant wooden flooring, soaring ceilings, and a marble bathroom with double sinks.
Exceptional Staff: Every team member was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. There’s even someone stationed in the lobby specifically to help guests with city guidance.
Reliable Wi-Fi: Strong connection throughout our stay, even on the third floor.
Thoughtful Extras: Flavoured cold water available in the lobby - such a simple but lovely touch. Piano player in the lobby during the evenings - it made it a lovely place to have a pre-dinner cocktail.
Spa & Facilities: The spa was spotless, and the pool was impressively large (20m). The sauna and steam room were peaceful and relaxing, especially in the mornings when it was quiet. You can call ahead to "book," which seems more like a courtesy so they can prepare towels.
Breakfast: One of the most impressive we've had.
Nothing to improve, our door key didn't work at one point, but it was rectified instantly.

The Hotel is close to the Old Town, easily accessible by car and the rooms are exceptionally quiet even with the windows facing a main street. The Dinner we enjoyed in the Hotel's Restaurant was amazing and the Breakfast verymuch exceeded our expectations. The Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and the Surprise Upgrade we got was just made the experience yet a little more exciting. Thank you for everything.

I love this hotel. I was warmly greeted. The gentleman said welcome back sir as it was my second time visiting.
The beds and comfortable. The room is quiet. The breakfast it probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. There was one girl in particular that was very attentive. I wish I could mention her name but i didn't see it.
So much choice for breakfast. I had two massages within 24 hours because they are so good. Both therapists were amazing. I had a nice conversation with a girl behind the bar. She just started working here 9 days prior.
So I'll be back that's for sure.

Disappointing
I like the lounge area and the breakfast was really good.
The room was really extremely disappointing. There are two types of areas. And, as it felt, one is for "lower class" and one for "upper class". My sister had a better room while we were there: and she was on a corridor with direct access to the elevator, room with toiletries and Aqua di Parma products. My room (the basic one and the one just below her level) is in an area where you need to go by stairs (extremely difficult with my big luggage), the doors are different (super cheap looking), carpet was super dirty, no toiletries and one has there NH soap products - why the difference?!
This was extremely disappointing experience and I would not recommend the hotel. For 300 Euro per night to have this experience in a basic room? Absolutely disappointing! By far, not a 5 stars hotel for me.

Wonderful
We were a group of 6 ladies. It was our first time in Prague, the staff were friendly and gave us good recommendations on what to see or do. The hotel is close to all the ‘must see’ areas, like charles bridge , prague castle etc. There is a tram close to the hotel. It’s a wonderful hotel for families and friends. Am planning to visit this hotel with my family.

We were celebrating a birthday there and the staff prepared everything I asked for and even more. The room decoration, beautiful flowers, champagne and a sweet.
The room was clean and spacious.
Breakfast was good. You can order additional meals from the menu for free.
