Great location. A stone’s throw from the Charles Bridge and across the road from several restaurants. Easy walking distance to many of Prague’s must-sees.
The rooms were small and rather shabby. The cleaning folks spray some type of disinfectant in the hallways and rooms. So much that we had to leave the window and door open throughout the night to air it out. It was ghastly.
The shower has no water pressure and you have to be an acrobat to get in the thing. The sides are rather tall.

The beds were comfortable. The second room we were moved into was pretty nice. And the location is good.
The walls and floors are made of paper, so it was super noisy. We were at first on the second floor and had a family above us. From 5:30am they were up and about and sounded like construction above us. The second night we were moved to 4th (top floor) and heard our neighbors alarm go off at 4;30am. The breakfast wasn’t great either. Just barely passable. Overly salted eggs, sausages and beans and ran out of plain yogurt after our first night, so was forced to eat the other gross items. The hotel is in need of an update especially our first room on the second floor and main area/lobby. How this hotel is this highly rated is a bit of a mystery to me. Expected much more. The shower was also so small, my husband who is 6’2” couldn’t stand straight up, but had to crouch to fit. It’s not bad, but faaaaaar from good or great.

The Archibald at the Charles Bridge is close walking distance to everything. There are little cafes around the campe that have little terraces out back along the e river. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast tics all the boxes.
We had no complaints and would stay here again. Jana, at the front desk, taught us some simple words in Czech and we need to come back to practice.

Great location just under Charles Bridge that is great for sightseeing. Very clean hotel, fantastic breakfast + free brunch *just soup and sandwich but an option if you wake up at noon :). Semple but very cosy hotel.

Outstanding location, excellent breakfast, comfy room, great value. This was one stop on a long road trip and we were able to drive there to drop off bags and arranged our own parking (expensive, but doable.) Would recommend this place in future, especially if not dealing with a car.

It was a nice hotel with good accessibility to the bridge and walking distance to many of the major attractions, there is a small little market right outside the doors.
The room was good value but it was a little dated and there were some issues with being able to navigate the lights, the corner shower was on the small side and the hairdryer couldn’t go to the highest setting without needing a cool down period. These are small inconveniences but something to note

Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The complimentary soup and sandwiches at lunchtime was a nice touch. Location of the hotel was excellent. Cleanliness was faultless.
I find it very difficult to fault anything at this hotel. If pushed I would prefer a double bed rather than two singles put together, and it was slightly on the warm side for my personal preference. All in all a pretty near perfect stay.

A great location for walking, conveniently close to public transport. A varied breakfast selection is available. The rooms were lovely; after long walks, we appreciated the quiet atmosphere and the view of the charming square.
We had no more vacation days to dedicate to enjoying Prague.

If you’re looking for a hotel in Prague that combines charm, comfort, and unbeatable location, the Archibald at Charles Bridge is an outstanding choice. Just a two-minute walk from Charles Bridge in Lesser Town, it offers the perfect balance—close to everything, yet blissfully quiet and free from tourist noise. The rooms are large, comfortable, and inviting, and the staff couldn’t be more welcoming. They are genuinely friendly, attentive, and consistently go the extra mile to ensure your stay is exceptional.
Breakfast is another highlight—generous, varied, fresh, and beautifully done each morning. The hotel has the warm, intimate feel of a small European inn rather than a chain property, making it ideal for travelers who value authenticity, personality, and a sense of place.
If your like us, we like to get out real early in the morning and walk around and take photos (6:00 AM) before the tourists. This location is outstanding on many levels in terms of location and access to the bridge, lesser town and the old Market Square.
When we discover a hotel that truly fits us, we become loyal repeat guests—and the Archibald is absolutely one of those places. We fully intend to stay here on future trips to Prague and will be enthusiastically recommending it to family and friends.
