The breakfast and location were excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The rooms need updating. The furniture and bathrooms were old needing some repairs. Toilet didn't flush properly.

It is the oldest restaurant in Plzn. Proud on their traditional excellent Pilsner beer from unpasteurized tanks. Quality is continuously monitored. Very busy on Friday evenings

We were following the recommendations about the food and traditions of the hotel. Well, the food is pretty alright and the rooms are ok.
Nevertheless, if you’re travelling on business, like us, you might want to consider an alternative stay or room that’s heading towards the backyards, because it’s quite noisy through the nights from the street + The windows are not soundproofed at all + it’s most obviously a bit of a place to be for people who wants to party through the whole night, even it’s middle of a normal working week.

Location is superb. Our room was spacious with an artistic picture of the Plzner Prazdroj factory --- just what we have arrived for :-) U Salzmannu is the oldest pub in the town offering the speciality: "tankowy pivo". This is a big beertank which has been refilled by a hose from a lorry. Worth trying. The kitchen is also recommended, with a terrace behind the building. It seemed that locals arrive in huge numbers as well. The breakfast was okay, although the coffee could be better, but price-quality-wise it is above average. The beds, linen were okay as well as the cleannes of the place (no one knows why but two of 8 towels were arbitrarily change during our stay). I recommend this place and Pilsen as a tourist attraction and not only for beer lovers.
The fridge in the room was not cold enough and tiny. The tram stops right below the window and starts the service at 4:10 in the morning. It is still the middle of the night. The place is however calm, just the tram might bother some: so put a plug in your ear.

Great size of appartment with all amenities we needed. Loved the bed and mattress, very comfortable.
It was very noisy in the evening until way after midnight. In the bedroom (2nd floor), we heard people talking very loudly downstairs in the salon as well as outside. Furthermore, the tram made a lot of noise which could be heard too much in the bedroom. I moved to the living room to sleep there, but also there I heard lots of noise from people and banging (probably from the kitchen or from staff cleaning something?) The curtains in front of the bedroom window on the wall were extremely dusty, which gave us the impression, that it hadn't been cleaned in years. Otherwise, everything else was tidy.
