This luxurious hotel is ideally located in the very center of Plzen, next to the main Námìstí Republiky Square. Hotel Rous offers free Wi-Fi and beautiful views of the Old Town. Hotel Rous is a short walk from all of Plzen's cultural and historical monuments. The hotel terrace is set inside the Medieval walls and features wonderful views. Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 11:00. Refreshments are also available in the in-house Café Emily, which overlooks a lovely park. The hotel can arrange bicycle and car rental, as well as airport shuttle service. Covered parking at a surcharge is possible within a 5-minute walk from the Rous. Parking is free at night and at weekends.

Nice. Friendly staff. Basic hotel breakfast, but opportunities for hot and cold beverages and warm options as well. Breakfast at the medieval city walls was quite nice as well. Fancy digital lock system for entering hotel. OK bathroom.
No A/C. Not very good opportunities for changing air. No parking in a very car congested area.

The host was extremely accommodating and helpful, even parking his own car in a parking space to save it for us. The location is actually right on top of the old city wall with a beautiful patio that looks out for the wall. The breakfast was amazing! Beautiful variety of breads, meats and cheeses, eggs, and sausages, fruit and granolas with a variety of juices and coffee drinks.

The owner Jan is friendly and very, very helpful. Think of a cross between genuine helpfulness and Basil Fawlty helpfulness. A very interesting entry system as the reception desk is not always manned. Our room was a great size, comfortable on the whole. The bed was large enough and was very comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed. A well stocked mini-bar if you wish a bedroom tipple or to store your own bits and bobs. There is a lift. It's a lovely building and the wall on the terrace is part of the old city walls. Breakfast is fine, especially the ripe watermelon. Eggs can be cooked to order too. The five-minute eggs on the buffet are excellent. You can fill your boots.
The only thing was the TV. I just wish hoteliers would sort out which channels they recrive/subscribe.

The hotel is situated just 50 meters from the main square in Pilsen, offering convenient access to all the attractions on foot. The room itself was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. However, it's worth noting that the tram passing in front of the hotel generated some noise and vibrations, starting early in the morning. This might pose an issue for light sleepers. On a positive note, the WiFi was both fast and reliable. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory, featuring freshly prepared scrambled and fried eggs upon request.
Unfortunately, contrary to the reservation's description of Garden View, Landmark View, and City View, our room had no view at all; instead, it overlooked the lift box situated in an interior patio. Despite being labeled as a hotel, it's important to mention that the reception area was unstaffed. The pictures on the Booking site depicted a luxurious atmosphere that didn't align with the actual experience. It falls short of the promised luxurious setting advertised. Upon our arrival, the owner surprisingly offered a 10% discount if we paid in cash (Czech crowns or euros) - a detail not previously mentioned on the Booking website. Ultimately, we paid the full amount with a credit card due to not having the required cash on hand. This situation was quite unusual and marked the first time I've encountered such an occurrence.

Quiet location very close to the city centre, very friendly staff and nice room, what more to wish? The breakfast was excellent with wide bufee and fresh bakery.
Searching for the parking facilities is a bit time consuming, but after having a bit sightseing around the hotel, parking place can be found. It is about first experience. Next time Ill know where to park.

Spacious room with unique accents. Amazing breakfast with great outdoor terrace seating.
Bed was very firm, but not too uncomfortable. There was a noisy bar/nightclub across the street but luckily the windows in the hotel are quite sound proof and made it manageable.
