It is not clear whether the city of Mariánské Lázně is Czech or Ukrainian. The hotel should also clarify whether it is still in Bohemia if they primarily greet you in German at the reception or in the restaurant.

We love coming to the Falkensteiner. The staff are all so lovely, friendly and attentive. The modern room decor and furnishings are tasteful and elegant. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful.. As a vegetarian / vegan there are plenty of delicious options.

Textile free spa is not managed properly. The spa sheets are not displayed for easy convenience at the wet area and there is no closed changing room to get change.

Amazing SPA, comfortable temperature in the indoor pools, one pool is with salty water. Comfortable and stylish rooms, pillows menu, very good breakfast, free tea in sauna area. Beautiful bar, lovely piano concert
All sunbeds in SPA area were occupied and we couldn’t find a free spot. Dinner was not buffet, only limited menu and the system was quite confusing, something you could take yourself but main dishes were served by the waitresses. Also the outdoor pool was quite cold for winter.

Great and well-maintained pools and saunas, excellent breakfast, convenient setup of the garage, hotel and the spa zone, comfortable beds.
The duvet was small and rather cheap, the room looked much better in the photos. The hotel restaurant is mediocre and overpriced.

The cuisine in the restaurant was outstanding. I enjoyed two lovely dinners. My room was okay and my bonus was a big balcony overlooking the quiet street along the hotel.
The spa facilities are a bit small for the guest capacity of the hotel in my opinion. In the mornings the spa was the best place to visit, while in the afternoon it tended to get really busy. This was perhaps also due to the weather which wasn't all that good.

Premises of the hotel, marvelous spa, excuisite dining, beautiful Library Bar, nice surprise for our anniversary:
1. beautiful common areas - be it the foyer, fountain with Alexandra spring, corridors
2. great spa with an all-year-round heated pool
3. perfect dining experience - we had a full board and we enjoyed breakfast, Good4U (not to be confused with Ms Rodrigo) lunch as well as 5-course dinner - delicious, fresh, tasty food, professional and kind staff
4. same goes for Library Bar, with a variety of great drinks and attentive bartenders - the atmosphere of the place is out of place, and I must mention the evenings with live music
5. nice surprise for our anniversary - we enjoyed a little bottle of sparkling wine and rose petals decorations, and of course tasty strawberries in a chocolate
Loved it overall, save for two moments I describe below - and for a very rude "call to arms" on the day of our departure, where we had late checkout (12:00 instead of standard 11:00) confirmed, yet the cleaning lady invaded our room by 11:15 and later some rude lady called our room, shouting "checkout je do jedenácti!!!" instead of, say "Dobrý den, tady je recepce, checkout máme do 11 a vidím, že jste se ještě neodhlásili, můžu s něčím pomoct?". This gave us a great laugh and honestly, you can count yourself lucky I have nerves of steel and I am not some Hans from Vienna :) .
Fishy website & scam message submitted via their Booking profile; transfer to the hotel (not provided by the hotel directly, yet still offered by them), lack of training of the reception staff, assistance with the luggage & room demonstration NOT provided nor offered, no "goodbye" gift provided, save for a bottle of water:
1. website of the hotel itself looks very fishy and is not "programmed" well - for example, when you look at the offer of the rooms and click at, say, Junior Suite, it writes "XYZ vhodný pro 2 až 4 odrasle osobe... U snímcích pokojů..." Well, "odrasle osobe" is definitely not a Czech expression, and "U snímcích pokojů" sounds like something from AI :) . There are many more such examples on their website. What is even worse, we wanted to use their site to book our room directly at first, but we were not able to, since it was literally not possible to open the window with payment gate. So we used good ol' Booking instead.
2. about a week before our arrival, there was a scam attempt from their Booking profile - I believe that a person of a common sense would see immediately something was not right, but since a large amount of this hotel's clientele are rich Austrian pensioners, I would not be surprised that someone would fall for that scam and submit their credit card details to a "scam" version of the Booking website. I must admit that hotel reacted within a few hours, but still, this is not something you would expect from a 5* hotel. Moreover, I must stress that this is a first time I ever received such message "from" the accommodation.
3. Hotel offers free transfer from train/bus station. That seems nice, unfortunately the experience is very 90s, with rude/smelly taxi driver and icky car.
