We have already started telling all of our family and friends about Hotel Thermal! We loved our stay. The room was comfortable with sufficient furniture, cozy bedding, and a nice balcony—we loved our view overlooking the river. Breakfasts were tasty and varied with robust options for many different diets— gluten-free, dairy free, Halal, vegetarian, and vegan options are all available. We loved the spa and spent nearly all of our time in saunas and whirlpools: unlimited access to the Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, steam room, 37 degree whirlpool, 28 degree swimming pool with jets, and Kneipp Path. We also enjoyed the included 2 hours per night per guest at Saunia World which guests can visit between 9:00–23:00 daily. We used one of our daily 2 hours on a night visit to the outdoor mineral pool with 180 degree views of Karlovy Vary. The other 2 hour allotment we used from 9:00-11:00 to visit the 6 different types of saunas. When we did emerge from from the spas, we were very pleased with the location of the hotel: 15 minute walking distance to the main bus terminal, 10 minute walking distance to multiple cafés and restaurants, right along the river. We loved our stay and cannot wait to come back!
Limitations on hours in the spa: 10:00 to 21:00 on weekends and 13:00 to 21:00 on weekdays (11:00-11:45 women only time). Totally reasonable, but it may confine spa plans for those staying for a shorter duration.

The city view from the balcony (13th floor) was fantastic. I also really enjoyed the easy access to the thermal pools and sauna world, as well as the two additional saunas and pool on the -2 floor of the main building, which were almost always empty. Breakfast offered a wide variety of foods. The location is excellent, with hiking trails nearby and spectacular nature all around.
Honestly, everything was very good, and we’ll definitely revisit the hotel in the coming years. Some guests mentioned the waiting time for the elevator, but we didn’t find it to be a big issue. It only took a few minutes in the mornings when everyone was heading to breakfast, and otherwise it was quick and responsive.

The hotel exceeded our expectations – it is comfortable and features well-developed and extensive spa facilities. The staff were very helpful. Although from the outside it looks like a Soviet-era building, the quality of maintenance and the level of comfort are up to modern standards. I can’t comment on the reasonableness of the prices during peak season, as we stayed during the off-peak period (March), but at that time, it was definitely worth the price.
The complimentary access period for the outdoor spa facilities could definitely be longer than two hours per night. It feels as though the outdoor facilities and the hotel are managed by different companies.

Amazing experience at the outdoor swimming pool at night. Also very comfortable and spacious room, great selection for breakfast and overall very very nice memory.
Make the lifts work better, please, we waited at least 10-15 minutes every time (stayed on the 10th floor, so walking was not really a great option :-D).

Hotel is nice, we had access to the open swimming pool and saunas from the hotel, stuff is nice and helpful
We payed for parking with discount during checkout. But when we were trying to leave the parking area we had to pay again the full price. The machine didn’t give any checks and I don’t know if there is a way for us to get money back

Basically just the location.
The rooms are not confortable and old. The wellness area is as well behind its prime time. If it was advertised properly as three star we would have selected different place, but being mislead we were not happy.
