Central location ideal for city visit, and close to thermal areas

The location was amazing, and it was a really good spot in town. All negatives aside if you want to be in the centre of Karlovy Vary, it's the right hotel. Rooms are spacious.
It's definitely not worth the money... Apart from great location, it's far from what it's trying to sell.
Seems that the times when Kolonada was a prestigious hotel are now gone. Only water and two cans in minibar, staff is nice but don't seem to care about guests apart from payments. I was definitely expecting different service for the price.

There is information on the booking that there is a parking at the hotel, there is no parking, and there is no service of the parking , I should myself go the the nearest parking place ( that was 1.5 kn from the hotel ) and come back .

Pool water was cold... parking is a bit of a hike.. staff not so friendly, but that could be a culture thing.

The location was fabulous. We had read some negative comments up front so we arrived with slightly reduced expectations. We got a Parking Lot almost next to the hotel which was a bit lucky for 15€/day. The room was comfortable and with beautiful street view. The breakfast that was critisized heavily by others was quite OK and the staff was doing their best to keep everything complete. We were positively surprised. We only had breakfast included. Rooms and Spa department was clean and nice, but SPA area could have been larger for the price. All in all we were very pleased coming with the expectations based on other reviews.
The Spa department could have been a bit better and there was no actual gym as announced. WiFi was a bit "coming and going". Most personell speak russian, but we managed to communicate in English and German without mayor issues.

Some of the staff were polite and accomodation. Others were not.
TV in room did not work and not repaired when reported. Breakfast and other meals were mediocre at best. Do they even have a chef ?
